The Flames are the eighth choice in the Stanley Cup odds at +1500. The Canucks are a far bigger longshot at +15000. Calgary are -190 favorites in this contest that features a total of 6.5 goals.

Puck drop is set for 10:00 pm ET at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta with TNT broadcasting the game in the United States and Rogers Sportsnet showing it in Canada.

Vancouver Canucks Betting Analysis

During the aforementioned rough start, the Canucks had the third most goals against and the worst penalty kill in the NHL. Since then, they’ve won eight of twelve, scoring the fifth most goals per game and a much more respectable twelfth on the PK. They are coming off a dispiriting 3-0 loss Saturday to the Wild, the first time they were shut out this season.

The good news for Canucks fans is that they’ve won their last five games on the road, and have been victorious in six of seven against the Pacific Division. However, captain Bo Horvat Tuesday addressed trade rumors that could be seeing him dealt, given the uncertainty of where the team is going and the fact he’s a free agent at season’s end.

That potential distraction notwithstanding, the over has hit in seven of eight Canucks games played on three or more days rest, and the over is 8-2 in the last ten with Vancouver as a road underdog.

Calgary Flames Betting Analysis

Trying to figure out this enigmatic Flames team this campaign has been a fruitless endeavor – they won five of their first six – then went winless in seven – then took four of five – then lost four of five – then won three in a row – then dropped three in a row.

For the season, they’re 22nd in scoring (after being sixth last year), showing off-season departures of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk have really hurt them – especially since the key player coming back in the Tkachuk trade was Jonathan Huberdeau, and he has 18 points in 26 games (after 115 points last season in Florida).

Canucks vs Flames Pick

Despite being shut out in their last outing, Vancouver has been the more consistent hockey club in the last twelve games, with eight wins (Calgary has five in that span). The Canucks are a +160 road underdog against a very similar team, which is awfully enticing.

Canucks vs Flames Same-Game Parlay Picks

Pick Odds
Vancouver Canucks Moneyline +160
Over 6.5 Goals -105
PARLAY ODDS  +390

Calgary has alternated going over and under 6.5 goals in their last eight affairs. If that trend continues, it’ll be over that total for tonight’s contest. In four of the last five meetings, the two squads have hit the over.

Pick: Vancouver Canucks Moneyline (+160), Over 6.5 goals (-105)
