Tuesday’s NHL player props board puts three road stars in strong spots. Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche (5-3-1) visit the Devils (4-4), while Charlie McAvoy and the 7-2 Bruins head to Dallas.
Kyle Connor rounds out my card in St. Louis. The Jets winger has opened the season on a heater, and the numbers behind it hold up.
I’ve got two shot totals and one goal prop for tonight. Here are my best NHL prop bets, plus the numbers backing each one.
NHL Player Props Today
My NHL player props today lean on volume. Two picks are shot totals at theScore Bet, and the third backs one of the league’s hottest finishers to score.
MacKinnon and McAvoy odds via theScore Bet. New users can grab the theScore Bet promo before backing tonight’s props.
- Nathan MacKinnon Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+105 at theScore Bet)
I’m starting my NHL prop bets with MacKinnon’s shot total. Through his first eight games of 2026-27, the Avs star had 38 shots on goal, an average of 4.75 per night. That’s more than a full shot above tonight’s line.
He paired that volume with 6 goals and 16 points over the same stretch, keeping him firmly in the Hart Trophy odds race. Colorado plays the second night of a road back-to-back, but his shot rate gives this number plenty of cushion.
The +105 price implies about a 48.8% chance. For a player averaging 4.75 shots, I’ll happily take plus money on four or more.
- Charlie McAvoy Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (-135 at theScore Bet)
McAvoy’s ice time is why I like this Bruins vs Stars shot prop. He logged 24:41 in San Jose on Oct. 13 and 26:54 in Anaheim on Oct. 16, putting 3 and 2 shots on net in those road games.
Dallas is stingy, allowing 1.50 goals and 22.63 shots per game. That’s exactly why I’m on a two-shot line. Heavy minutes keep the Bruins defenseman’s floor high, even against a tight Stars structure.
The -135 price works out to roughly a 57.4% implied probability. I’ll pay that for a blueliner playing close to 25 minutes a night on the road.
- Kyle Connor Anytime Goal (+155 at bet365)
I’m wrapping up my NHL player props with Connor finding the net in St. Louis. The Jets sniper has 8 goals on 37 shots through eight games, and he’s scored in six of them.
Four of those goals came on the power play, so he has more than one route to the scoresheet. His road volume backs it up, too. Connor fired 5 shots in Detroit on Oct. 4, 6 in Pittsburgh on Oct. 5 and 5 in Chicago on Oct. 15.
That’s 16 shots across three road games, about 5.3 per night. At +155, the Connor anytime goalscorer price needs a 39.2% hit rate to break even. His early finishing and road shot volume make this my favorite goal bet on Tuesday’s board.
