Saturday brings a full 12-game board, and I’ve narrowed it down to three positions I trust. My NHL predictions focus on scoring, goaltending, and special teams.
Prices can move before puck drop, so check the latest NHL odds. Here are my NHL picks today, plus projected scores for every game.
NHL Picks Today
All three prices come from prediction market apps as of Oct. 23. A winning contract pays $1, so a 56¢ price implies a 56% chance before fees, and a 43¢ price implies 43%.
NHL Pick #1: Vegas Golden Knights
- Golden Knights moneyline (56¢ on Kalshi)
Vegas has the top-end scoring Columbus can’t match. Jack Eichel has 19 points (6G, 13A) in 12 games, and Mark Stone has eight goals and 15 points over the same stretch.
Mitch Marner adds 12 points in 11 games, 10 of them assists. That’s three forwards producing at a point-per-game pace or better.
Columbus has played just eight games, so its totals run smaller. Coyle has seven points, Sillinger and Werenski have six each, and Kent Johnson has four goals and five points. None of them is near Eichel’s pace, and that gap drives my first NHL prediction.
NHL Pick #2: Seattle Kraken
- Kraken moneyline (41¢ / +144 on Kalshi)
I’m taking the home underdog. Seattle is 7-3-1 and scores 3.82 goals per game, nearly a full goal more than Minnesota’s 2.91. The Kraken power play is also clicking at 25%.
The scoring comes from all over the lineup. Eberle, Kakko and Stephenson each have nine points in 11 games, Freddy Gaudreau has six goals, and McCann has eight points.
Seattle doesn’t win the shot battle, though. It’s getting outshot 31.5 to 26.4 per game, while Minnesota (6-3-2) takes 30.6 shots and allows 25.7. A 68.8% penalty kill and 3.36 goals against are concerns too.
That’s why the price matters. Paying 43¢ for the team with the better record and more offense is value I’ll take.
Neither crease is confirmed. Wallstedt has a 2.19 GAA and .915 save percentage in 10 starts for Minnesota, while Seattle has split time between Grubauer (2.76, .907 in six starts) and Daccord (3.89, .882 in five).
NHL Pick #3: Boston Bruins
- Bruins -1.5 (43¢ / +133 on Kalshi)
This contract pays only if Boston wins by two or more goals, and I like it because of the goaltending gap. Swayman is 6-1-1 with a 1.98 GAA and .928 save percentage in eight starts. DiPietro has been even sharper, going 2-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .941 save percentage in three starts.
San Jose’s Askarov is 3-4 with a 3.43 GAA and .883 save percentage in seven starts. Nedeljkovic has fared better at 3-0-1 with a .917 save percentage, so keep an eye on which Sharks goalie gets the nod.
David Pastrnak drives the Bruins’ attack with 16 points and 37 shots in 11 games. Elias Lindholm and Minten add eight points apiece.
Macklin Celebrini is the Sharks’ biggest threat with 14 points in nine games, and Toffoli has eight. I’ll trust Boston’s crease and depth to pull away and close out my NHL best bets.
