You know how they say when someone retires, they ride off into the sunset? That’s not going to be the case with Rob Gronkowski.

The options and odds have changed slightly since a month and a half ago but the sentiment is the same – Gronk won’t be out of the public’s eye for very long.

With new information available, here are the two bets I find offer the most value here.

Would You Download A Gronkowski Podcast?

I always thought Barstool would be the perfect fit for Gronkowski, but with or without them, the world needs a Gronk podcast.

Spittin Chiclets has proved that retired players with big time personalities can capture massive audiences simply by telling the behind the scenes stories sports fans love.

While the NHL version with Paul Bisonette and Ryan Whitney is awesome, something tells me a similar style podcast with Gronkowski as the host would do even better numbers. For someone who just spent a career traveling, there could also be something intriguing with a simple podcast, as opposed to say, traveling the globe with the WWE.

Gronkowski Is Retired… For Now

The other option on the board I think is offering major value is his next step being a return to the NFL.

Think of the Patriots history; is it totally out of the question this is all a smoke screen to take attention away from owner Bob Kraft and his problems?

Gronkowski turns 30 in May and while injuries have been an issue in the past he could definitely contribute next season. Even if this isn’t a ploy and he truly believes he’s retired, Gronkowski wouldn’t be the first athlete to have a change of heart once the season draws near or even later than that.

Football people are smart, especially when it comes to their industry. It appears the overwhelming belief is Gronkowski may be headed the route of Brett Favre and actually end up returning to the field.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what he’ll do next, which is what the prop is for, but if league insiders and coaches all believe he’s going to return to the league, I have no reason to doubt them – especially when I can bet it at +1000.

Whatever Gronk decides to do, let’s hope he does it with the same flair and excitement he provided during his dominant career.
