All eyes will be on the most decorated female swimmer of all-time on Monday (July 26th) as the Tokyo Olympics roll on. American Katie Ledecky, a five-time gold medalist will be back in the pool for a pair of events, and has an excellent chance of capturing her sixth and seventh Olympic gold medals.

First up, Ledecky will be competing in the 400 meter Freestyle, where she has the second shortest odds behind Australia’s Ariarne Titmus. Then, a few hours later, Ledecky will hop back in the water for the 1500 meter Freestyle, a race where she’s an overwhelming favorite.

Women’s 400 Meter Freestyle Odds

Athlete Odds
Ariarne Titmus (AUS) -225
Katie Ledecky (USA) +125
Li Bingjie (CHN) +1100
Paige Madden (USA) +4000
Isabel Gose (GER) +4000

Odds as of July 25th at DraftKings.

In the 400 meter, Ledecky is an underdog despite being the defending Olympic champion, and current world record holder. Titmus defeated Ledecky in this event at the most recent World Championships, and posted the second fastest time in history last month. Of course that time is slower than the world record Ledecky set in Rio in 2016, however Ledecky hasn’t come close to matching that record since.

Still, the American posted the fastest time in qualifying, besting the Aussie by over a full second. This will likely be the only time you’ll ever be able to bet her at plus money, so take advantage of the situation, and bank on her capturing gold medal number six.

Pick: Katie Ledecky (+125)

Women’s 1500 Meter Freestyle Odds

Athlete Odds
Katie Ledecky (USA) -800
Simona Quadarella (ITA) +500
Maddy Gough (AUS) +1000
Sarah Kohler (GER) +1000
Erica Sullivan (USA) +2000
Mireia Belmonte (ESP) +2200
Li Bingjie (CHN) +3500
Martina Caramignoli (ITA) +4000
Anastasiya Kirpichnikova (ROC) +5000
Anja Kesely (HUN) +5000

The 1500 meter Freestyle is new to the Olympics on the women’s side, but it’s a race Ledecky has been dominating for quite some time. She is the current world record holder, and a multiple time World Champion.

The last time she competed at this distance at the 2018 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, she cruised to a 22 second victory, and we should expect a similar result on Monday.

Pick: Katie Ledecky (-800)

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Odds

Team Odds
Russian Olympic Committee +120
China +140
Japan +170
USA +1800
Great Britain +2200
Germany +4000
Ukraine +10000
Switzerland +10000

Japan’s pursuit of gold in men’s Artistic Gymnastics will continue without Kohei Uchimura, one of the greatest ever, but it appears the torch has been passed. 19-year-old Daiki Hashimoto has propelled the host nation to first place through qualifying, just ahead of China and the ROC.

Uchimura fell on the high bar, his signature event, failing to advance to the final and likely ending his career. Hasimoto however, has risen to the occasion posting the best all-around total, and putting Japan in position to repeat as Olympic champions.

Sure, their leader won’t be with them, but this Japanese team is rich in talent and represents great value at +170, considering they have the lead heading into the final.

Mixed Doubles Table Tennis – Bronze Medal Odds

Athletes Odds
Lebesson / J.N. Yuan (FRA) +425
Y-J. Lin / I-C. Cheng (TPE) -600

The Tokyo Games also mark the Olympic debut of Mixed Doubles Table Tennis. The gold medal match is currently off the board, meaning the betting focus will be on the battle for bronze.

Yun Ju Lin and I Ching Cheng of Chinese Taipei will face the French team of Emmanuel Lebesson and Jia Nan Yuan, and will do so as heavy favorites. Lin and Cheng are the world number one pair, and breezed through their early matches before being upset in the semis by a Japanese duo.

Lebesson and Yuan on the other hand, proved they were in over their heads in the semis. They fell 4-0 to the Chinese team of Xin Xu and Shiwen Liu, and barely put up a fight in three of the four games.

Pick: Lin/Cheng (-600)
