The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Oct. 9, at 11:00 CEST at the Norwegian Nobel Institute in Oslo, Norway. The voters are selected by the Parliament of Norway, and the panel consists of five members. The majority rules. Prediction markets offer the latest Nobel Peace Prize odds for 2026 ahead of Friday’s presentation.
Created in 1901, the Nobel Peace Prize is one of the most prestigious awards in the world. A litany of notable names have won it, including Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, and Jimmy Carter. U.S. President Donald J. Trump has openly advocated for receiving the award and has the medal commemorating it, given to him by the 2025 winner Maria Corina Machado. Winners run the gamut of people and groups who work to avoid war and suffering, promote peace, and build a better world.
Still, regardless of who is ultimately given the award, there will be debate and discussion about it. Prediction markets add to the attention paid to the Nobel Peace Prize, giving users the chance to make a pick as to which individual or group they think will win and benefit from it.
Nobel Peace Prize Odds 2026
Unlike many prediction markets, there is no overwhelming favorite here. This is in line with the unpredictability of the Nobel Peace Prize in general. There are some years when the winner is relatively obvious, and there is a groundswell essentially making clear who will win. 2026 is not one of those years.
The percentages are relatively even across the board, with the main candidates all having a solid argument to win for their work over the course of the year.
Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms has networks that provide humanitarian access across war-torn Sudan, providing people with food, medical care, utilities, protection, and more. The volatile country with warring factions is notoriously dangerous. Its work has drawn recognition for years, but it has not yet won the Nobel Peace Prize.
Mykola Kuleba/Save Ukraine works to address problems that have long afflicted the country as it dealt with Russian threats to its sovereignty and the eventual war. Kuleba founded Save Ukraine to try to get Ukrainian children back after they were taken to Russia. At least 1,600 children have been reunited with their families thanks to the group’s work. It also helps people evacuate combat areas and recover from the physical, emotional, and psychological damage from the conflict.
Save the Children provides children with health care, education, financial assistance, and the basic necessities of life. It helps natural disaster victims, those who need aid in war, and other crises. It has been nominated in the past, the last time being in 2013, but it has yet to win the award.
Yulia Navalnaya has continued the work of her late husband, Alexei Navalny, as the opposition to Vladimir Putin in Russia and is up for the award.
Doctors Without Borders provides emergency assistance to people who have faced the horrors of war and natural disasters with medical care and other forms of aid. It is privately funded and tries not to take sides in the conflicts. It won the award in 1999.
The International Court of Justice is also referred to as the World Court. It is located in The Hague and serves as the judiciary for the United Nations. It adheres to international law and sets standards on disputes, opinions, and rulings. It has never won the Nobel Peace Prize. There are several other worthy candidates.

Using prediction markets gives users the chance to weigh in on Nobel Peace Prize odds and a myriad of other markets. A correct pick can yield significant financial rewards. People who are news junkies and keep watch on global affairs, know the ins and outs of the Nobel Peace Prize, and are informed as to what type of work the candidates do can use that knowledge to their advantage when they invest. However, that might not be the only strategy. Educated guesses, gauging trends, and even throwing darts at a dartboard to make a pick can be the deciding factor.
The Nobel Committee consists of five people, so this is not like a sporting event and its unpredictability with performance, injury, missed calls, coaching mistakes, and other factors that come into play. Nor is it a show like Dancing with the Stars where the fans vote on who stays and who goes. Looking at past winners, likely political persuasions, and how the voters could lean can also be beneficial.
To trade on the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, all the user needs to do is make a pick and purchase a contract. If there is a strong feeling that Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms will finally win for its humanitarian work, simply purchase a contract. Being right will result in the full value ($1) being recovered for each contract. The contracts for the picks are priced from $0.01-$0.99 based on implied probability. Those new to prediction markets will get the hang of it quickly, and the Nobel Peace Prize is a great place to start.
