  • The NASCAR Playoff Chase begins segment two with the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 set to run on Sunday, September 25th, 2022
  • Several contenders include Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, and maybe even Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney
  • Below are the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 betting odds and trends ahead of Saturday night

NASCAR travels to Fort Worth, Texas, for race number 30 of the 2022 season. The Texas Motor Speedway is an intermediate 1.5-mile track characterized by high-bank turns of 20-24 degrees. Denny Hamlin and his Toyota are listed as the betting favorite. Can a Ford or even a Chevy nab the checkered flag?

This is a week after the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, where Chris Buescher managed to hold off three drivers from Hendrick Motorsports and Christopher Bell on his way to the checkered flag.

Here are the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 odds.

Kyle Busch Again the Most Consistent at Texas

Yes, Kyle Busch is again the most consistent driver at Texas Motor Speedway. He had five top-ten finishes in his last five races, including leading 90 laps en route to a fall 2020 victory. The problem is the younger Busch was a casualty of a blown engine while contending last week for a Round of 12 spot. Simply, Kyle Busch has been eliminated. Worse, he does not even have his normal pit crew this week.

Now, Busch still stands third at Caesars this week at +750.  Ryan Blaney and Ross Chastain are +1000 also at Caesars but Denny Hamlin is again +550). The Caesars Sportsbook odds are again akin to Barstool this week.

Who wins the September 25th race at Texas? The “Round Of 12” starts on Sunday as things reset. There have been 19 different winners in 29 races so far. Also, not one “Chase” driver has won in the playoffs yet.

The Playoff Chase Continues

Sports bettors are getting quite bullish on Kyle Larson in some places (+600) again compared to Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin this week. The Chevy drivers are or should be among the favorites with the NASCAR Cup Series odds. Remember, Toyota missed out last week when Kyle Busch blew out his engine for the second time in three playoff races. Three Hendrick Chevy’s were in the top five with Christopher Bell’s Toyota sandwiched in fourth.

Larson is not wrong here. Segment two’s grouping of Texas, Talladega, and the ROVAL is kind of an odd one. Do not be surprised if TrackHouse Racing does well. Ross Chastain just has to remember to brake appropriately. Daniel Suarez finished in fifth at the All-Star Race in May. Both cars are very fast.

AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 Predictions & Picks

The weather expects to be fiery hot Sunday with sun and temperatures nearing 100.

Next-Gen racing has taught us to watch out for tire wear and dehydration among drivers for this one.

Finally, look at Kyle Larson for the pole at +600 or even Ryan Blaney at +900. They may be worth a shot. Drivers like Bell could battle Larson and Blaney for victory along with yes, the aforementioned Ross Chastain.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: Kyle Larson to Win (+700 – Barstool)
  • Other Contenders: Ross Chastain (+1000), Ryan Blaney (+1000), Erik Jones (+6600), Daniel Suarez (+3000)
