  • Pocono is next on the NASCAR schedule as the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 is set to run on Sunday, July 24th, 2022
  • Several contenders include Bubba Wallace, Christopher Bell, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Larson
  • Below are the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 odds and betting trends ahead of Sunday afternoon’s race

NASCAR comes back south to the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania for race number 21 of the 2022 season. The race comes from Pocono Raceway. The 2.5-mile course is often called “The Tricky Triangle”. The course has several co-favorites in the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 odds. However, will Kyle Busch bounce back or will another Toyota steal the candy err prize?

This is one week after the Ambetter 301, where Christopher Bell held off Chase Elliott and Martin Truex Jr. for the win.

Let’s dive into these M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 odds and figure out which racers are the prime bets.

NASCAR drivers will run on the 2.5-mile course when the flag drops for the Sunday-afternoon race beginning around 3:00 pm ET on the USA Network.

Several Co-Favorites Again at Pocono

Kyle Busch is a co-favorite according to Barstool at +800 for this week’s New Hampshire race. The younger Busch has four top-five results in his last six appearances. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has led 22.8% of the laps but he seems to be in the right position at the right time on this track. Considering he has won twice in the past three seasons, one has to mark him down as a contender on Sunday.

Currently, Busch stands as a favorite at Caesars (+600). Denny Hamlin is listed at Caesars at +650. Some interesting odds exist on Caesars Sportsbook, as even Chase Elliott is +750. Kevin Harvick is just +1000 with a 7.2 average finish and has won recently on the track. Even Kyle Larson was on the verge of winning before a blown tire derailed him.

Now, what happens Sunday afternoon at Pocono?

Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin are up there and is at least worth a look somewhere along with Harvick from Ford and maybe Christopher Bell or Bubba Wallace.

Can Kevin Harvick or Martin Truex Jr Notch a Win?

Sports bettors like Kevin Harvick more and more each week. The Stewart Haas Racing driver is ninth in the points and rising in the NASCAR Cup Series odds. Harvick has come close with an average finish of 7.2 over the past six attempts at Pocono.

A little luck and some ending speed could carry Harvick or Martin Truex Jr. to victory. They were both top-five in speed intervals overall last week. Momentum means something.

M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 Predictions & Picks

Watch the weather but the expectation is for a lot of heat on Sunday. Temperatures around 90 and possible thunderstorms might impact the race late.

Pocono Raceway often plays tricks on drivers. See Kyle Larson more than once. There is a tendency to overvalue Kyle Busch because of the sponsorship sentimentality. Also, there is Harvick and Truex Jr., who keep getting closer and closer to that elusive win.

Finally, for top-ten picks, there are Bubba Wallace and Kurt Busch. There will be more picks closer to Sunday’s race after qualifying on Saturday.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: Kevin Harvick to Win (+1200)
  • Other Contenders: Martin Truex Jr. (+1000), Denny Hamlin (+800), Kyle Busch (+800)
  • More shots:  Bubba Wallace (+3000), Christopher Bell (+1800), Kurt Busch (+2000)
