Tottenham (-380) vs. Watford (+1600), Draw (+550)

Tottenham (19-8-3, 65 points) have the best chance of claiming their first English Premier League title since, well, last year. But in order to catch Chelsea, they’ll have to claim the full three points when they face Watford (10-7-13, 37 points) on Saturday (April 8th).

When it was revealed Harry Kane re-injured himself, Spurs fans had every reason to be concerned. Kane started the season injured and we all saw how that turned out. Tottenham went twelve straight games undefeated at the start of the season, but drew six of them. Without their star striker, the Spurs had no one to supply the finishing touch. Luckily, Kane is expected to make an early recovery and start Saturday.

Last season, we saw Spurs give Leicester City a run for the top spot, only to fall flat in the final rounds. They failed to win their last four games and ended the season with an embarrassing 5-1 loss to a relegated Newcastle United.

To add insult to injury, the loss put them in third place, leaving them one point below arch-rivals Arsenal. So close, yet so far. They definitely won’t want a repeat of that this season.

Currently, they’re seven points short of leaders Chelsea with just seven rounds left to play. If they’re going to have any chance of closing the deficit, they’ll have to ensure a win against Watford.

Watford are having a decent season by their standards but their games don’t exactly inspire confidence. The Hornets have only won three away games this season and their top goalscorer, Troy Deeney, is unlikely to start this weekend.

It’s up to Tottenham to win this game. If they can keep their composure as the season comes to a close, they’ll stand a (slim) chance of winning their first ever Premier League title. Watford have pulled off a few upsets this season, like an away win against Arsenal, but on the whole, they’ve been pretty mediocre.

I wouldn’t pick Tottenham to win the title, but I can see them coming pretty close. They may have choked last year, but I think they’ll do a little better this time round.

Pick: Tottenham (-380)
