Seventh place Lazio will be looking for a huge result to potentially push them into the top-six on Sunday as they welcome AC Milan to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The kick-off is scheduled for 2:45 pm ET.  Read on for the Lazio vs AC Milan odds.

The hosts most recently played to a 1-1 draw with Torino last weekend thanks to an equalizer at the death from Ciro Immobile. Milan meanwhile, lost 3-0 mid-week in the Coppa Italia semifinals to Inter but secured a 2-0 victory on matchday 33 against Genoa. Three points here will put the Rossoneri back in top spot in the league table above their city rivals.

The over 2.5 goals hold a ton of value at -120, with five of the last six meetings hitting the over. Milan is also favored at -0.5 and +143 odds and has an implied win probability of 39%, while Lazio is at 33%.

Lazio vs AC Milan Prediction

Maurizio Sarri’s side isn’t exactly enjoying the best campaign. They remain in the mix for Europa but are quite a few points off Champions League football. However, Lazio’s form is improving lately, tasting defeat just once in their previous six games, losing to Roma in late March.

Last weekend’s result against Torino was absolutely crucial for their European aspirations, but it nearly ended in a loss. Lazio didn’t have a ton of chances but struggled to put away the majority of them until Immobile saved the day with a beautiful injury-time header courtesy of a picture-perfect ball from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Although the full points would’ve been the ultimate goal, a draw does keep them in the mix for a top-six finish. While their recent track record vs. Milan is nothing to write home about, Lazio is 9-5-2 on home soil this term.

Milan might’ve been an utter disappointment in Europe, but they’ve been flying high domestically, with their Serie A odds currently at +300. Stefano Pioli’s men are unbeaten in 13 league games, and as previously mentioned, can leapfrog Inter for first place if a victory is secured on Sunday.

But, the Nerazzurri did get the better of them on Tuesday in the Coppa Italia, absolutely running riot on Milan in a 3-0 thrashing. The Rossoneri are typically a very strong side defensively, but the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Robin Gosens ripped their backline apart in this fixture.

That being said, Milan will be extremely motivated to bounce back with a positive result here, especially since the league title is the only hardware left to compete for. Since 2020, Pioli’s group has won four out of five encounters with Lazio, allowing the Rome outfit to score just twice. That included a huge 4-0 shellacking in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals in February as well.

Lazio vs AC Milan Best Bet

Although recent meetings saw a lot of goals, these two sides are the best in Italy when it comes to clean sheets in 2021/22. Milan has kept nine, while Lazio has kept six. That being said, the under could actually offer value here.  I also like the visitors on the moneyline. There is a ton at stake for them when it comes to the Scudetto race.

Pick: AC Milan (+143), Under 2.5 Goals (-105)
