How to Watch Morocco vs Colombia

Viewers can watch Thursday’s Morocco vs Colombia World Cup clash on Fox Sports 1 and Telemundo in the US at 06:00 am ET on Thursday.

Brilliant Win for Morocco

Morocco’s first-ever World Cup finals tournament got off to the worst possible start when they were on the receiving end of a 6-0 hammering by Germany. They responded to that setback brilliantly though, clearing their heads sufficiently to record an outstanding 1-0 win against South Korea.

Despite the South Koreans being 55 places higher than Morocco in the FIFA ranking, the Moroccans lifted their game to such a level, a goal in the sixth minute by Ibtissam Jraïdi was enough to give them their first win at a World Cup. While the North Africans only had 32 percent of possession, they were deserving of their victory.

History Awaits for Morocco?

As the second-lowest-ranked team in the tournament, Morocco had limited expectations of progression but their surprise win in game 2 has given them a sniff of a chance of making history.

Morocco is currently tied on points in the group with Germany, albeit with a far inferior goal difference, so all they can do is beat Colombia and then hope that the Germans drop points against the South Koreans.

Colombian Joy Against Germany

It will take something extraordinary to happen on Thursday to deny the impressive Colombians a place in the knockout phase of this World Cup. With six points from six and a +3 goal difference, only a Morocco win by a scoreline of at least 4-0 would knock them out.

While their opening day 2-0 win over South Korea wasn’t a massive surprise, despite their opponents being eight places higher in the FIFA rankings, few people expected them to beat the Germans in game 2. But they did, and in the most dramatic circumstances possible.

Colombia to Top Group H?

Despite Colombia taking a 52nd-minute lead through Caicedo, the Germans looked to have salvaged a point when Alex Popp buried an 89th-minute penalty but there was to be an unexpected twist. Seven minutes into time added-on, Manuela Vanegas rose to score with a dramatic header to give her team victory.

It was a header that left Colombia proudly top of Group H, and they will stay there as long as they can avoid defeat against Morocco.

Morocco vs Colombia Lineups and Injuries

Portugal Projected Lineup: Errmichi | Ait El Haj, Ben Zina, El Chad, Redouani | Ouzraoui, Nakkach, Chebbak, Tagnaout | Amani | Jraidi.

Injuries & absences: None.

Colombia Projected Lineup: Perez | Arias (C), Ramos, Arias (D), Vanegas | Bedoya, Montoya | Andrade, Usme, Caicedo | Ramirez.

Injuries & absences: Carabali (doubtful).

Morocco vs Colombia Prediction

Colombia’s massive win over Germany will have drained them mentally and physically so that leaves the door ajar for the Moroccans, who will also be on a high after the win over South Korea.

With a draw being enough for the Colombians, and the Moroccans certain to push them hard, for me there is value here in the draw at nearly 3/1.

Morocco vs Colombia Pick: The draw (+285) at DraftKings.
