The stage is set. Manchester City will lock horns with Inter Milan on June 10th in Istanbul as the two sides battle it out in the Champions League final. Below, we’ll lay out the opening Champions League final odds, dive into some analysis, and give an early pick with the showpiece still three weeks away.

Manchester City vs Inter Milan Odds

Matchup Moneyline
Man City -270
Inter Milan +650
Draw +390

As you can see, City is a huge favorite with -270 Champions League odds. That’s an implied win probability of 72.97%. Inter meanwhile is a clear underdog at +650 for a mere 13.33% chance of lifting the grand prize. This is actually the first-ever competitive meeting between the two European giants.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan Recap

Derby Della Madonnina was undoubtedly one-sided in the UCL semifinals. Inter quickly put themselves ahead in the first leg last week with two early goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Edin Dzeko and Milan could never recover.

The return fixture on Tuesday saw the Rossoneri welcome back talisman Rafael Leao, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit. Lautaro Martinez ultimately sealed the deal in the second half with a composed finish to send Inter through.

Simone Inzaghi’s men have tasted defeat just twice in this season’s competition and those both came in the group stages against Bayern Munich. This is their first final since 2010 when the club actually beat the Bavarians under Jose Mourinho.

Man City vs Real Madrid Recap

Manchester City completely imposed their will on the reigning champions in the semis, showing just why they’re arguably the best team in the world. The first leg in the Spanish capital saw the Sky Blues dominate possession but Vinicius Junior found the breakthrough for the hosts, thumping home a world-class strike.

However, Kevin De Bruyne quickly drew the visitors level with a beautiful goal of his own. Then on Wednesday, the Cityzens essentially embarrassed Los Blanco at the Etihad.

Bernardo Silva had a brace within the first 37 mins before City bagged two more goals in the final 45. Pep Guardiola’s squad absolutely dominated Real, who barely even had a respectable opportunity on goal. The scariest part? Erling Haaland didn’t even score.

This is the second time in the last three years Man City has found themselves in the final, having lost 1-0 to Chelsea in Lisbon in 2021. The EPL standouts are also undefeated in the 2022-23 UCL campaign.

Champions League Final Best Bet

In a one-legged final, truly anything can happen. However, it’s clear City is the more established side. Plus, they’ve also been the favorites to win it all before the Champions League season even began. I don’t see the opening Champions League Final odds shifting much because the Sky Blues are in top form and should deservingly be favored to come out victorious.

Putting cash down on the -270 moneyline isn’t an awful idea, but it doesn’t offer a ton of value. At the moment, I’m liking Man City to win and keep a clean sheet because Pep’s boys have conceded a mere five times in the competition.

Pick: Man City to win & keep a clean sheet (+100)
