If it’s Tuesday, then there must be a full schedule of Moscow Liga Pro table tennis action on the docket.

Heck, if it’s a day ending in the letter Y, there must be a full slate of Russian table tennis on tap.

The betting gift that never stops giving, with some 90 matches per day, Moscow Liga Pro table tennis makes everyday sports betting Christmas for hard-up bettors starved for action during this COVID-19 induced shutdown of most sports.

Here are just some of the key matches slated for Tuesday’s afternoon and evening sessions.

Odds taken May 12th.

Moscow Liga Pro matches are best-of-five affairs. Each game is up to 11, although all games must be decided by a minimum of a two-point outcome. Service changes hands every other point scored.

Whatever you do, don’t call it ping pong, or wiff waff, as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson refers to the sport. That’ll get you the stink eye from the table tennis aficionados.

Let’s take a look at some of Tuesday’s best bet options.

Zhulyabin Doesn’t Pander to Pandur

In an ideal metaphor that would accurately describe matches between Vladimir Zhulyabin and Ivan Pandur, Zhulyabin is a steamroller and Pandur a tin of baked beans. It’s going to be over quickly and it’s going to be messy.

Zhulyabin has won his last eight meetings with Pandur. He’s taken their last three matches via 3-0 sweeps.

Pandur has dropped 11 successive games to Zhulyabin. He’s lost 90 of the last 131 points they’ve contested.

Overall, Zhulyabin is steamrolling everyone of late. He’s riding an 11-match win streak. Zhulyabin has posted five sweeps and a pair of 3-1 verdicts during this roll.

For Pandur, the news is not nearly as positive. He’s lost three straight and five of seven matches. Pandur has dropped nine of his last 11 games. Through his last 12 matches, Pandur is 3-9.

Pick: Vladimir Zhulyabin (-1200)

Yanshaev Holding Hot Hand

Long-range, matches between Alexey Yanshaev and Dmitry Kolesnikov look to be nearly a 50-50 proposition. In their last seven meetings, Yanshaev owns a 4-3 edge over Kolesnikov.

However, of late it’s been advantage Yansahaev. And that axiom holds true whether he’s playing Kolesnikov, or if he’s been facing some other opponent across the net.

Against Kolesnikov, Yanshaev has captured four of their last five contests, including their last two clashes. That stretch has featured a pair of 3-0 shutouts. But the other three matches among that five-game segment all were 3-2 verdicts, including Kolesnikov’s lone victory.

Overall, Yanshaev has won three straight and is 6-2 through his last eight matches. Kolesnikov is 1-4 in his last five matches, but 3-5 through his last eight contests.

Pick: Alexey Yanshaev (-175)

Chencov Looking to Bounce Back

Usually dominant against Vladimir Shirokov, Aleksandr Chencov hit a bump in the road earlier Tuesday when he was blanked 3-0 by Shirokov. The loss was part of an overall three-match losing skid for Chencov.

He’s 1-4 through his last five matches but that one triumph was a 3-0 sweep of Shirokov. That outcome is the usual order of business when these two players cross paths.

Chencov had won seven straight from Shirokov over the past week of Moscow Liga Pro action prior to his early Tuesday setback. He’d also captured nine of their 11 prior games before being blanked.

Shirokov has been on an all-or-nothing pattern in recent outings. He’s won back-to-back 3-0 shutouts. But his two previous matches were both 3-0 losses.

Take Chencov to rebound against Shirokov.

Pick: Aleksandr Chencov (-275)
