Mystics vs Tempo Predictions
Pick: Tempo +1.5 (-102, DraftKings)
Despite losing the first two matchups of the season series, I am backing the Tempo to right the ship tonight. The Tempo are among the best offenses in the WNBA, averaging 89.7 points per game (fourth) and hitting 36.7% of their threes (third). The Mystics, on the other hand, are among the worst offenses in basketball. The Mystics have hit just 29.4% of their threes (second-to-last) and have the third-worst scoring average.
Pick: Under 172.5 (-110, Caesars)
While the Mystics struggle to score the basketball, they are a tremendous defensive unit. The Mystics are third in the WNBA with a 104.4 defensive rating, and their 77.9 pace rating is the second-lowest in the league. I anticipate a slow-paced slug fest that the Tempo win late. In both of the first two matchups, the Mystics won with last-second shots to shock Toronto. Tonight, I think Toronto will do the shocking in a game that finishes below 172.5 points.

Mystics vs Tempo Player Props
The eight-year veteran Marian Mabrey is enjoying her best season. After being a useful secondary option with Dallas, Chicago, and Connecticut, Mabrey is averaging a career-best 21.6 points per game this season. She has scored 27 points in both previous matchups with the Mystics. She is fourth in the WNBA in scoring, one of one players averaging 20 points per game.
Out of 22 games this season, Mabrey has scored 24 points nine times. She has five games with 30 points, and she scored a ridiculous 53 points on June 25. She has topped 30 points in each of the last two games. Mabrey has hit at least three three-pointers in six of seven games.
Pick: Marina Mabrey Over 23.5 Points (-106, FanDuel)
An All-Star in 2025, Sonia Citron has elevated her play in 2026. While her three-point shooting has declined from last season, the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish is hitting a ridiculous 60.5% of her two-point shots, and she is hitting 88.8% of her free throws. Citron is 12th in the WNBA in scoring at 18.7 points per game.
In 18 games, Citron has scored 18 or more points in nine games. She has seven games with at least 20 points and a pair of 30-burgers. In two games against Toronto, Citron has scored 26 and 17 points respectively, covering her 17.5 mark once.
Pick: Sonia Citron Over 17.5 Points (-130, FanDuel)

Mystics vs Tempo Odds
The Tempo opened as slight favorites (-1.5), but the line has shifted through zero to make the Mystics 1.5-point favorites. Tempo bettors can get a nearly even line, backing the hosts at +1.5 for -102 odds.
On the moneyline, the Mystics sit as -130 favorites while the Tempo are at +110 odds to pull the minor upset. The Mystics have been useful at home, posting a 6-5 record. The Tempo are better at home than on the road, but they have a sub-.500 record (6-7).
The total is set at 172.5 points, rising from 171.5 when the line opened. Over bettors can take over 172.5 points for -105 odds. Under bettors can take under 172.5 points for -115 odds.

Mystics vs Tempo: Previous Matchups
The Mystics have taken the first two games of this season series with narrow wins both at home and on the road. In the opening game of the season (and the Tempo’s first-ever game), Sonia Citron spoiled the party with 26 points as the Mystics pulled a late win. Veteran Marina Mabrey starred in her Toronto debut, putting up a strong 27 points with seven rebounds despite some shooting inefficiency.
In the second matchup, Citron continued her excellence with a buzzer-beating game-winning shot to help the Mystics prevail. Rookie Lauren Betts hit eight of nine shots en route to a team-high 18 points. Mabrey continued to star as she poured in 27 points on 60% shooting.
