Since the 2019 NFL season, I have been tracking the odds to win each division every year. I not only captured the opening odds each season, but also how the odds changed over the course of the year – after major offseason events and each week of the regular season. 2025 NFL Division Odds

Many divisions saw their early-season favorites fall, some of which fell to teams who were seen as major underdogs at opening. You can see how the odds changed over the course of the season below, as well as who went on to win each division.

NFC – East / North / South / West

2025 AFC East Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The New England Patriots won the AFC East after Buffalo lost to the Eagles in Week 17. New England took over as the favorites after Week 10, thanks to their win over the Buccaneers, paired with the Bills getting crushed by the lowly Dolphins, which marked the first time the Bills were not the favorite this season. They did not look back since, even after the Bills beat them in Week 15.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 AFC East odds movement:

  • [November 10] The Patriots overtook the Bills as the favorites to win the AFC East after Week 10, where the Bills were upset by the lowly Dolphins.
  • [September 9] After every AFC East team, other than the Bills, lost in Week 1, Buffalo’s odds to win the division improved to as short as -833.
  • [May 20] Shortly after the NFL Draft wrapped up, the Patriots, who were widely seen as one of the biggest winners of the draft, saw their AFC East odds continue to improve, surpassing the Dolphins for the second-best in the division.
  • [March 4] The Bills opened as the heavy favorites to win the AFC East. The Bills were given -250 odds at opening, and the Dolphins had the second-best at +475. To the surprise of some, the Jets opened with (significantly) worse odds than the Patriots.

2025 AFC North Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Baltimore Ravens were the favorites to win the AFC North entering Week 18, after the Steelers blew their chance to clinch the division by losing to the Browns in Week 17. This allowed for a Week 18 showdown between the Steelers and Ravens for the division. However, the odds were wrong here, as Pittsburgh won the game and the AFC North.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 AFC North odds movement:

  • [December 30] After the Steelers were upset by the Browns in Week 17, and the Ravens beat the Packers, Pittsburgh blew their opportunity to seal the division title. Sportsbooks moved the Ravens to the favorites in their Week 18 matchup for the division.
  • [December 9] The Steelers beat the Ravens in Week 14, which led to them taking back over as the favorites to win the AFC North.
  • [October 28] A dominant Ravens win in Week 8, without Lamar Jackson, paired with a Steelers loss to the Packers resulted in the Ravens taking back over as the favorites to win the AFC North.
  • [October 14] Following Week 6, the Ravens were no longer the favorites to win the AFC North for the first time this season. Their 1-5 record at the time allowed the Steelers to take over as the division favorites.
  • [September 16] Joe Burrow’s turf toe injury, which was expected to keep him out for about three months, saw Cincinnati’s AFC North odds plummet from consensus odds of +255 to +679.
  • [September 9] The Ravens remained odds-on favorites to win the division despite losing a heartbreaker to Bills in Week 1. Sportsbooks obviously did not feel Cincinnati or Pittsburgh’s Week 1 wins were very impressive.
  • [March 12] The Steelers acquired DK Metcalf through a trade with Seattle, and their odds to win the AFC North shortened from +700 to +550 following the move.
  • [March 4] The Ravens opened as the heavy favorites to win the AFC North in 2025-26. Cincinnati opened with the second-best odds at +190.

2025 AFC South Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Jaguars became the favorites to win the AFC South after Week 14, and remained the favorites from then on. Jacksonville clinched the division with a win over the Titans in Week 18.

The Colts were as heavy as -490 favorites to win the AFC South back in November, but Daniel Jones attempting to play through injury did not go well, and then Indianapolis’ season started spiraling quickly after Jones’ season was ended in Week 14. Philip Rivers was unable to save their season.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 AFC South odds movement:

  • [December 9] Week 14 not only saw the Colts get crushed by the Jaguars, but they also lost Daniel Jones for the rest of the season. Jacksonville took over as the new favorite to win the AFC South after this.
  • [September 16] Houston’s 0-2 start to the season opened the door for the Colts to become the new favorites to win the AFC South.
  • [September 9] In spite of losing in Week 1, the Texans remained the favorites to win the AFC South. Though, their odds faded from +100 to an average of +169, while both the Jaguars and Colts saw their odds improve after wins.
  • [March 4] The Texans opened as the favorites to win the AFC South, getting +100 odds. The Jaguars opened with the second-best odds to win the division, just slightly better odds than the Colts.

2025 AFC West Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Denver Broncos clinched the AFC West title with a win over the Chiefs paired with a Chargers loss in Week 17. They took over as the new favorites following Week 9, and really extended their lead in the standings, as well as the odds, by beating the Chiefs in Week 11.

Kansas City was eliminated from playoff contention after a Week 14 loss to the Chargers, which also saw them lose Patrick Mahomes for the rest of the season.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 AFC West odds movement:

  • [November 4] A Chiefs loss to the Bills in Week 9 saw them get bumped in the odds by the Denver Broncos, who took over as the favorites.
  • [October 14] Kansas City reclaimed the best odds to win the division following an inspiring Week 6 win over the Lions, as well as the Chargers continuing to struggle.
  • [September 16] The Chargers took over as the AFC West favorites after the Chiefs lost in Week 2, marking an 0-2 start for the reigning AFC West champs.
  • [September 9] Though the Chiefs lost to the Chargers in Week 1, and the Broncos and Raiders also won, Kansas City remained the favorites to win the AFC West. However, their average odds went from -116 prior to kickoff to +177 afterwards.
  • [August 15] The Chargers had the second-best odds to win the AFC West all offseason up to this point, when the Broncos surpassed them for second on the board. It seems money was the reason for this movement.
  • [March 4] The Chiefs once again opened with the best odds to win the AFC West. However, their opening odds (-125) were notably longer than they have been in previous seasons. Sportsbooks obviously felt the Chargers and Broncos would provide some legitimate competition to the Chiefs in the AFC West.

2025 NFC East Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Philadelphia Eagles have won the NFC East. They were the favorites all season and wrapped up the division title following a Week 16 win over the Commanders.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 NFC East odds movement:

  • [March 4] The Eagles opened as the odds-on favorites to win the NFC East with -150 odds. Washington opened with the second-best odds at +225 with the Cowboys being a distant +600.

2025 NFC North Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Bears won the NFC North. Chicago’s win over the Packers in Week 16 moved them to the best odds to win the division, and they sealed the division title when the Packers lost to the Ravens in Week 17.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 NFC North odds movement:

  • [December 23] An incredible comeback win over the Packers in Week 16, which needed overtime to decide a winner, saw the Bears take over as the favorites to win the NFC North for the first time.
  • [November 25] Green Bay’s win over the Vikings in Week 12, which gave them another win in the division, was the reason they took back over as the favorites to win the division.
  • [November 11] After the Packers lost to the Eagles in Week 10, the Lions took over as the favorites to win the division.
  • [August 29] The acquisition of Micah Parsons resulted in a change in the favorite in the NFC North. Green Bay’s odds improved from +259 to as short as +165 after landing Parsons, while Detroit’s odds went from +145 to +200.
  • [July 22] Minnesota’s odds to win the NFC North reached an average of +324 after being as long as +462 in March. The improved odds are simply the result of money coming in as the public warms up to JJ McCarthy.
  • [March 12] After the Vikings lost Sam Darnold to free agency, they saw their odds worsen slightly from +450 to +462, putting them at the bottom of the divisional odds. Chicago, who added some notable offensive linemen during free agency, saw their odds improve from +550 to +400.
  • [March 4] The Lions opened as the favorites to win the NFC North with +125 odds. The Bears, who opened with the worst odds, were still given +550 odds, signaling what is expected to be a very competitive division.

2025 NFC South Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Panthers were the favorites to win the NFC South with -395 consensus odds. Tampa Bay was seen as the favorite entering Week 17, but they were upset by the Dolphins, and the Falcons managed to upset the Rams. This meant the Bucs not only needed to beat the Panthers in Week 18, which they did, but also needed the Saints to beat the Falcons, which did not happen, in order to win the NFC South.

Carolina went on to win the division thanks to the Falcons beating the Saints in Week 18.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 NFC South odds movement:

  • [December 30] The Bucs lost their title of favorites to win the NFC South ahead of the final week of the regular season, thanks to their loss to the Dolphins in Week 17, which put them in a situation to need help in Week 18 to win the division.
  • [June 26] Tampa Bay, who had been floating around even-money to win the NFC South prior to this point, turned into an odds-on favorite. This is the result of New Orleans’ odds continuing to worsen with their QB situation looking shaky at best.
  • [March 4] The Buccaneers opened as the favorites to win the NFC South at +115 odds. The Falcons were not far off at +225 odds.

2025 NFC West Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Seattle Seahawks were the favorites to win the NFC West with -119 consensus odds entering Week 18. LA had been the favorite for most of the season, but the Seahawks took over as the favorites for the first time after a thrilling overtime win over the Rams in Week 16.

The 49ers had a chance to beat the Seahawks in Week 18 and win the division, but they failed to do so. Seattle won the division in the final week of the regular season.

Here are some notes on the 2025-26 NFC West odds movement:

  • [December 23] The Seahawks beat the Rams in Week 16 to take a one-game lead in the NFC West standings, and also took over as the new favorites following the win.
  • [October 14] The 49ers loss to the similarly shorthanded Bucs in Week 6 saw them give up the title of favorite, allowing the Rams to reclaim the top spot in the division at the time.
  • [October 7] After upsetting the Rams on TNF as major underdogs in Week 5, San Francisco took over as the favorite to win the NFC West.
  • [September 30] After the 49ers were upset by the Jaguars at home in Week 4, and the Rams recorded a win over a good Colts team, LA became the new favorites to win the NFC West.
  • [August 15] While their odds have worsened slightly from opening, the 49ers entered the season as the favorites to win the division in spite of all their injury concerns at wide receiver.
  • [March 12] The combo of trading DK Metcalf and replacing Geno Smith with Sam Darnold resulted in the Seahawks divisional odds slipping from +500 to +700. The Rams, on the other hand, improved from +280 to +195 after re-signing Matthew Stafford and adding Davante Adams to replace Cooper Kupp.
  • [March 4] The 49ers opened at even-odds (+100) to win the NFC West, in spite of missing the playoffs last season. The Rams, who won the division last year, opened with the second-best odds at +280.

2024 NFL Division Odds

I tracked the odds to win all eight divisions for the 2024-25 NFL season from the time they opened right until each division had a winner. Check out how the 2024-25 NFL divisional odds changed throughout the season and see which teams won each division below.

2024 AFC East Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The AFC East saw three different favorites this season. The Jets began the season as the favorites, but the Dolphins took over after Week 1. The Bills took over as the favorites after Week 2 and didn’t look back. Buffalo clinched the AFC East title following their Week 13 win, becoming the first team in the NFL to clinch their respective division.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 AFC East odds movement:

  • [December 1] With the Dolphins losing in Week 13, the Bills were able to clinch the AFC East title with their win over the 49ers. You will not see odds to win the AFC East anymore for the 2024-25 NFL season, as the race is over.
  • [November 19] After the Bills beat the Chiefs in Week 11 to maintain a five-game lead in the AFC East, most sportsbooks have pulled their AFC East odds.
  • [October 15] Though the Jets acquired Davante Adams, their AFC East odds still took a hit from their loss to the Bills in Week 6. At the time of trading for Adams, New York sat two full games back of Buffalo in the division. Any of NY’s gains from the Adams trade were likely undone by the Bills acquiring Amari Cooper just hours later as well.
  • [September 13] Buffalo demolished the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football of Week 2, and took over as the division favorites after the win. Miami’s odds faded from an average of +173 to +500 with Tua Tagovailoa suffering another concussion and being out without a timetable for return.
  • [September 9] With the Jets losing in Week 1 and the Bills defense looking very shaky against the Cardinals, not to mention Josh Allen potentially having to shoulder too much on offense, the Dolphins have emerged as the new favorites to win the AFC East after the first week of the season. It is the first time Miami has been favored to win the division this year.
  • [August 16] After Bills standout linebacker Matt Milano tore his bicep, and is likely to miss most of, if not all, the 2024-25 NFL season, the Jets have become the new favorites to win the AFC East.
  • [July 24] As confidence has built in Aaron Rodgers’ return, as well as the Jets beefing up their offensive line, New York’s divisional odds have improved to +180 and overtook the Dolphins for second-best in the AFC East.
  • [March 4] The opening AFC East odds favor the Buffalo Bills with +130 odds. The Dolphins and Jets are both close with +190 and +290 odds, respectively.

2024 AFC North Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Baltimore Ravens spent all offseason and the first 11 weeks of the season as the AFC North favorites, but their loss to the Steelers in Week 11 saw Pittsburgh take over as the divisional favorites. The two teams flip-flopped each week since then, with the Ravens being listed as the heavy favorites entering Week 18.

The odds were correct as Baltimore clinched the AFC North title with their Week 18 win.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 AFC North odds movement:

  • [January 4] Baltimore clinched the AFC North with their win over the Browns in Week 18.
  • [December 23] The Ravens took back over as the AFC North favorites after beating the Steelers in Week 16.
  • [December 3] Pittsburgh’s Week 13 win over the Bengals, paired with Baltimore’s home loss to the Eagles, resulted in the Steelers taking back over as the AFC North favorites.
  • [November 26] The Steelers only lasted one week as the favorite in the AFC North, as they lost to the Browns in Week 12, leaving the door open for Baltimore to take back over after they beat the Chargers.
  • [November 19] For the first time this season, the Ravens were not the favorites to win the AFC North. Baltimore’s Week 11 loss to the Steelers resulted in Pittsburgh taking over as the favorites to win the division.
  • [October 7] The Bengals saw their AFC North odds fade from an average of +357 to as long as +850 after losing to the Ravens in Week 5.
  • [September 16] Both the Bengals and Ravens have started the season 0-2, yet they remained the favorites over the 2-0 Steelers. Which team is the favorite between the two depends on which sportsbook you check. The Bengals were the favorites at DraftKings, while the Ravens were the favorites at FanDuel following Week 2.
  • [September 9] Though both teams lost in Week 1, the Ravens gained some distance from the Bengals in the AFC North odds. Baltimore’s close loss to the Chiefs, the reigning champs, in the season-opener was a game they were inches away from winning. On the other hand, the Bengals lost to the Patriots, who are believed to be one of the league’s worst teams. The result in AFC North odds was Baltimore improving from +145 to +120, and the Bengals fading from +155 to +270.
  • [April 29] Pittsburgh’s AFC North odds continue to improve as they were deemed to have had a great draft class.
  • [March 15] The Steelers’ divisional odds improved from +1200 to +1025 after signing Russell Wilson in free agency.
  • [March 4] The Baltimore Ravens opened as the favorites to win the AFC North, getting even (+100) odds to win the division again.

2024 AFC South Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Texans entered the 2024-25 NFL season as near even-money or better, depending on the sportsbook, to win the AFC South. They became heavy odds-on favorites to win the division after just a few weeks, and they clinched the division title after Week 15.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 AFC South odds movement:

  • [December 17] Houston clinched the AFC South with their win over the Dolphins in Week 15.
  • [September 9] The Texans have moved from +105 favorites to win the AFC South to -150 odds-on favorites after beating the Colts in Week 1.
  • [April 4] After trading for Stefon Diggs, the Texans saw their divisional odds improve even more, moving from +150 to +110.
  • [March 15] As free agency begins, the Texans have began to breakaway from the Jaguars in the AFC South odds, seeing their odds go from +190 to +150.
  • [March 4] The Houston Texans opened as very slight favorites to win the NFC South, getting +190 odds. Jacksonville is right on their tail with +195 odds at opening.

2024 AFC West Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Chiefs spent the entire 2024-25 NFL season as heavy favorites to win the AFC West, and clinched the division title after a Week 14 win over the Chargers.

Here are some very brief notes on the rather unexciting 2024-25 AFC West odds movement:

  • [December 9] The Chiefs’ Week 14 win over the Chargers on SNF clinched the AFC West title, becoming the second team to do so this season. You will not see odds for this divisional race anymore.
  • [October 1] Kansas City remained heavy -1099 favorites to win the AFC West after potentially losing Rashee Rice for the season in Week 4.
  • [September 9] The Chiefs beat the Ravens in Week 1 and their offense looked very good with newly added speedster Xavier Worthy. Kansas City was already the odds-on favorite entering Week 1, and have moved to even heavier favorites.
  • [March 4] It comes with no surprise that the Kansas City Chiefs have once again opened as the heavy favorites to win the AFC West.

2024 NFC East Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Philadelphia Eagles were heavy favorites to win the NFC East for the latter half of the season, and clinched the division after Week 17.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 NFC East odds movement:

  • [December 29] Philadelphia officially clinched the NFC East with a win over the Cowboys in Week 17.
  • [November 26] The Eagles became extremely heavy -4000 favorites to win the NFC East after Week 12, where they beat the Rams and the Commanders lost at home to the Cowboys.
  • [November 19] Philadelphia’s Week 11 win over the Commanders resulted in them taking a commanding lead in the odds to win the NFC East. The Eagles moved from -227 to -550.
  • [October 29] The Eagles went back to odds-on favorites to win the NFC East after their Week 8 win in Cincinnati. Philadelphia’s odds improved from +113 to -120, while the Commanders saw their odds worsen a little after their miraculous win over the Bears.
  • [October 22] Jayden Daniels left the Commanders Week 7 matchup with the Panthers due to a rib injury. He has been considered week-to-week and unlikely to play in Week 8. The result was Philadelphia being the NFC East favorites at all sportsbooks again.
  • [October 15] After Week 6, where the Eagles barely got by a bad Browns team at home, and the Commanders put up a good fight against the Ravens, most sportsbooks are calling the Commanders the favorites to win the NFC East. However, FanDuel still listed Washington at lengthy +145 odds, which were longer than any sportsbook was offering on the Eagles at this time.
  • [October 7] The Commanders overtook Dallas for the second-best odds to win the division after they blew out the Browns in Week 5.
  • [October 1] Washington’s NFC East odds were +1850 after Week 1. But after three straight wins, the Commanders improved to +260 ahead of Week 5. They still had the third-best odds in the division at this point, but they weren’t far behind Dallas, who was listed at +240.
  • [May 1] Shortly after the NFL Draft, the Eagles took over as the favorites to win the NFC East for the first time this season.
  • [March 11] In spite of making a big splash in free agency, landing Saquon Barkley, the Eagles still have the second-best odds to win the NFC East behind the Cowboys.
  • [March 4] The Cowboys opened as the slight favorites to win the NFC East. Philadelphia was a close second at +135, compared to Dallas’ +110 odds.

2024 NFC North Odds

Sports Betting Dime

In what was an historically-good division, the Detroit Lions were favored to win the NFC North for all but two weeks of the 2024-25 NFL season. But the division crown did come down to the final week in a showdown between the Lions and Vikings, where the winner would be the top seed in the NFC and the loser would go on the road in the first round of the playoffs. Detroit dominated the Week 18 matchup and clinched the division title.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 NFC North odds movement:

  • [January 5] The Detroit Lions beat the Vikings in Week 18 to clinch the NFC North title.
  • [December 17] The Lions’ loss to the Bills, paired with losing David Montgomery, in Week 15 resulted in the NFC North odds tightening up. Detroit remained the odds-on favorite, but their odds faded from -1000 to -265, while Minnesota’s improved from +561 to +220.
  • [October 29] Detroit became an odds-on favorite to win the NFC North following Week 8, where they crushed the Titans and the Vikings were upset by the Rams.
  • [October 15] Though the Lions lost Aidan Hutchinson to a season-ending injury in Week 6, they did demolish the Cowboys and took back over as the NFC East favorites while the Vikings were on bye.
  • [October 8] The Vikings moved to odds-on favorites after Week 5, getting as short as -115 odds to win the division following their win over the Jets in London.
  • [October 1] After Minnesota’s win in Green Bay during Week 4, the Vikings took over as the favorites to win the NFC North. This marked the first time this year that Detroit was not favored. The Lions’ divisional odds were listed at +145, just behind the Vikings at +125.
  • [September 16] In spite of being upset by the Bucs in Week 2, the Lions remained the favorites to win the NFC North. Minnesota, who earned a big win over the 49ers, has gone from the worst odds to win the division to second-best. Though, they are only as short as +360.
  • [September 9] After the Packers lost to the Eagles in Week 1, and also reportedly lost Jordan Love for anywhere between three to six weeks with an MCL sprain, their odds to win the NFC North faded from +220 ahead of Week 1 to as long as +600, falling behind the Bears as well.
  • [March 11] The Vikings have seen their NFC North odds take a hit after losing Kirk Cousins in free agency. Minnesota has overtaken Chicago for the worst odds after the first day of free agency.
  • [March 4] The Detroit Lions have opened as the favorites to win the NFC North, but no team’s odds are that long. The Bears are given +440 odds, which are the worst to win the division, but it’s the best odds among all division-worsts.

2024 NFC South Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The NFC South saw the Falcons, Saints, and Buccaneers listed as favorites at some point during the 2024-25 NFL season. But Tampa Bay was the heavy favorite entering Week 18, and they came through with a win over the Saints to clinch the division title.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 NFC South odds movement:

  • [January 5] Tampa Bay clinched the NFC South with their win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 18.
  • [December 23] Despite the Falcons taking back over the top spot in the division after Week 16, the Buccaneers remained the favorites to win the NFC South heading into Week 17.
  • [December 10] A fourth straight Falcons loss in Week 14 resulted in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking over as the new NFC South favorites, marking the first time they had been favored all season.
  • [December 3] After the Falcons suffered their third straight loss in Week 13, some sportsbooks listed Atlanta and Tampa Bay as co-favorites to win the NFC South. All the others still list the Falcons as the slight favorites, though.
  • [October 1] Atlanta took back over as the favorites to win the NFC South following a Week 4 win over the Saints.
  • [September 17] The conclusion of Week 2 marked the first time this season the Falcons were not favored to win the NFC South. Though they pulled off a great comeback win over the Eagles, the Saints and Buccaneers have been much more impressive through the first two weeks. New Orleans became the new favorite with the Bucs a close second.
  • [September 9] In spite of losing to the Steelers in Week 1, while both the Saints and Bucs putting forth impressive performances, the Falcons remain the favorites to win the NFC South. However, they are no longer odds-on favorites, as Atlanta’s divisional odds faded from -138 to as long as +145.
  • [August 14] After acquiring pass-rusher Matthew Judon from the Patriots, the Falcons moved from -120 favorites at most sportsbooks to -130.
  • [March 11] Atlanta has become the odds-on favorites to win the NFC South after signing Kirk Cousins. Their odds improved from +142 to -110.
  • [March 4] The Falcons opened as the favorites to win the NFC South, as their odds were slightly better than the Buccaneers and Saints’.

2024 NFC West Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The San Francisco 49ers were the clear favorites to win the NFC West all offseason and right through Week 11 kicking off. However, each of the other three teams have spent time as the favorite since then.

The Rams locked up the NFC West crown after the beat the Cardinals in Week 17 and got more than 3.5 wins from their previous opponents.

Here are some notes on the 2024-25 NFC West odds movement:

  • [December 31] LA won the NFC West after Week 17.
  • [December 17] The Rams took over as the NFC West favorites after a Week 15 that saw them beat the 49ers, while the Seahawks lost badly to the Packers.
  • [December 10] The Seahawks moved to odds-on favorites to win the division after beating Arizona in Week 14.
  • [December 3] Seattle took over as the favorite to win the NFC West after Week 13. This came after Arizona barely lost to Minnesota, and Seattle beat the Jets.
  • [November 26] In spite of losing to the Seahawks in Week 12, the Cardinals remained the favorites to win the NFC West. Though, Arizona was no longer an odds-on favorite, as their odds went from -112 to +155.
  • [November 19] San Francisco’s surprising Week 11 loss at the hands of the Seahawks was the straw that broke the camel’s back when it comes to NFC West odds. The 49ers had been the favorites to win the division all year up until this loss, as the Cardinals took over as odds-on favorites to win the NFC West after Week 11.
  • [October 22] In spite of losing to the Chiefs in Week 7, and seeing Brandon Aiyuk go down with a season-ending knee injury, the 49ers remained the favorites to win the NFC West.
  • [October 15] The 49ers went back to being odds-on favorites to win the NFC West following their Week 6 TNF victory over the Seahawks.
  • [October 7] In spite of losing to the Cardinals in Week 5, dropping their record to 2-3, the 49ers remain the favorites to win the NFC West. Though, San Francisco is no longer the odds-on favorites, as their odds moved to +110.
  • [October 1] A convincing win over the Patriots in Week 4 resulted in every sportsbook moving the 49ers back to odds-on favorites to win the West.
  • [September 23] Not every sportsbook lists the 49ers as the odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. San Francisco is still the favorite, but Caesars and BetMGM moved them to +110.
  • [September 9] A Puka Nacua injury paired with a Week 1 loss to the Lions has seen the Seahawks overtake the Rams for the second-best odds to win the NFC West.
  • [March 4] The San Francisco 49ers opened as heavy -220 favorites to win the NFC West. Notably, the Cardinals are given quite long +1100 odds.

2023 AFC East Odds

Sports Betting Dime

The Bills won six of their final seven games to come back and win the AFC East.

Here are some notes on the AFC East odds movement:

  • [December 23] Jacksonville beat New York 19-3 in Week 16 behind another strong performance from Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars are now the favorites to win the division, although they are still half a game behind Tennessee.
  • [December 18] After losing to the Chargers in Week 15, paired with the Jaguars upsetting the Cowboys, Tennessee is still favored to win the AFC South. The Titans’ odds did fade from -580 to -150, though. Jacksonville improved from +460 to +130.
  • [October 23] Tennessee beat Indianapolis for the second time this season in Week 7 (19-10). With the win, the Titans are back to being the favorites to win the AFC South. Their divisional odds improved from +160 to -125.

  • [September 18] Indianapolis was shutout in Week 2 by the Jaguars, keeping them winless on the season. The Colts’ odds to win the AFC South went from -140 to +135, while Jacksonville’s divisional odds improved from +650 to +360
  • [September 7] The Colts enter the 2022-23 NFL season as pretty significant odds-on favorites to win the AFC South. Indianapolis’ divisional odds have improved from -115 to -140, as Tennessee’s have faded from +140 to +190.
  • [July 26] The Colts have become odds-on favorites to win the AFC South thanks to the Titans trading away AJ Brown during the NFL Draft.
  • [March 21] With the Colts acquiring Matt Ryan, Indianapolis is now listed as the co-favorite to win the AFC South alongside the Tennessee Titans. The Colts’ odds improved from +150 to +115.

  • [February 24] The Titans have opened as the odds-on favorites to win the AFC South in the 2022-23 NFL season. • [December 18] The Chiefs officially clinched the AFC West title after a Week 15 win over the Texans.

  • [March 23] While everyone else in the division seems to be adding serious star power to their roster, the Chiefs have lost their top receiver Tyreek Hill. Kansas City has traded Hill to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a package of five draft picks, one of them being Miami’s first-round pick in 2022. The Chiefs’ divisional odds continue to worsen as a result, going from +130 to +155. Everyone else in the division sees slight improvement to their odds to win the AFC West.
  • [March 18] Though the Raiders still have the worst odds to win the AFC West after acquiring Davante Adams, they did improve from +1100 to +700. Kansas City’s odds faded a little more as a result, now landing at +130.
  • [March 13] The Chiefs are still favored to win the AFC West, but are no longer the odds-on favorites after the Chargers made a big splash of their own, acquiring Khalil Mack from the Bears. Kansas City’s odds to win the division are just +100 now, while LA’s only improved from +425 to +400.
  • [March 9] The Chiefs have gone from -175 favorites to win the AFC West to -110 favorites after the Broncos acquired Russell Wilson in a blockbuster trade with the Seahawks. Denver’s divisional odds improved from +430 to +240, the second-best odds to win the division.
  • [February 24] The opening odds to win the AFC West list the Kansas City Chiefs as -175 favorites. The Chargers come in second at +400 odds, with the Broncos just behind them at +450. Denver’s potential to land Aaron Rodgers is the reason we aren’t seeing their divisional odds open longer.

  • [January 2] Los Angeles’ odds to win the NFC West improved slightly from -330 to -350 with a win over the Ravens in Week 17. The Rams were not able to clinch the division thanks to the Cardinals upsetting the Cowboys. LA can clinch the NFC West with a win over the 49ers in Week 18 or a Cardinals loss to the Seahawks.
  • [December 26] Arizona went from odds-on favorites to win the NFC West entering Week 16, to +250 underdogs thanks to their loss to the Colts and a Rams victory. Los Angeles now has a game lead on the Cardinals in the division, and are -330 favorites to win it.
  • [December 19] The Cardinals’ divisional odds went from -700 to -200 after being upset by the Lions in Week 15. Los Angeles’ odds improved from +450 to +160 thanks to the loss, and could see their odds improve more should they beat the Seahawks on Tuesday night.
  • [December 13] Despite losing to the Rams on Monday Night Football of Week 14, the Cardinals remain heavy odds-on favorites to win the NFC West. Their divisional odds only faded from -1200 to -800, while the Rams improved from +800 to +500.
  • [November 22] The Cardinals’ divisional odds have reached a season-best at -500 after Colt McCoy led them to a win over the Seahawks in Week 11.

  • [September 26] The Rams have taken over as the favorites in the odds to win the NFC West after beating the Bucs in Week 3. San Francisco suffered a tough loss to Green Bay, and Seattle falls to the bottom of the division with a loss to the Vikings.
