We tracked the odds for all defensemen to win the 2021 Norris Trophy. After not even being listed in the opening odds, New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox captured the award for the first time in his career.
Odds for 2021 Norris Trophy Favorites
- [June 30]: Adam Fox has won the 2021 Norris Trophy. Fox was not listed in the opening odds that came out in November but quickly became available at +3150 at the end of December.
- [June 9]: Lightning’s Victor Hedman, Rangers’ Adam Fox and Avalache’s Cale Makar have been named the three finalists for the Norris Trophy. No sportsbook has opened new odds since mid-April, but Victor Hedman remains the betting favorite at this point.
- [April 8]: Adam Fox is now the second betting favorite to win the Norris Trophy. Fox has five goals and 35 assists in 36 games this season. The 22-year-old’s average odds have shortened to +570.
- [April 1]: Victor Hedman has emerged as the odds-on favorite as the Lightning continue to thrash through the league. Hedman’s average odds have shortened from +150 to -170. Aaron Ekblad was making a late season push for the Norris before suffering a season ending leg injury.
- [Mar 9]: Drew Doughty has made a move in the Norris Trophy odds. Doughty’s average odds have shortened from +3300 to +750. The Kings defenseman has tallied six goals and 15 assists in 24 games this season.
- [Feb 23]: Avalanche’s Cale Makar is the new favorite to win the 2021 Norris Trophy. Makar’s odds have dropped from +600 to +200.
- [Feb 1]: She Theodore has emerged as one of the betting favorites with seven points (3 G, 4 A) through seven games. Theodore’s average odds have shortened from +2200 to +925.
- [Dec 30]: Victor Hedman’s average odds have increased and is now the favorite at +500. Roman Josi remains close behind with average odds of +550.
- [Nov 16]: Roman Josi has opened as a +500 favorite to win the 2021 Norris Trophy. Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson opening odds are listed at +500.
