Notes on the F1 Drivers Championship odds movement over the course of the season include:
- March 5 – With days remaining before the start of the 2026 season, George Russell has surged to the top of the odds table, averaging +202 to win in 2026. That places him ahead of Max Verstappen at +294 and Charles Leclerc at +500. McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have respectively dropped to +925 and +962.
- December 8 – Just a day after winning his first Formula 1 Drivers Championship, McLaren’s Lando Norris has opened at +300 to repeat in 2026. That places him just behind the favorite, ’25 champ Max Verstappen (+200) of Red Bull Racing, and just ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell (+350) and teammate Oscar Piastri (+480).

Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship Odds By Team
Drivers across eleven different teams will be participating in the competition for 2026, with Cadillac joining as the eleventh team this season. Audi will also be joining F1 for the first time, officially taking over the Sauber team, but keeping with former drivers Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenburg.
Sergio Perez and Valterri Bottas will be driving for the new Cadillac team, with neither driver competing last season. Isack Hadjar has moved from Racing Bulls to Red Bull Racing, replacing Yuki Tsunoda, who remains with Red Bull as a reserve driver. Hadjar’s replacement at Racing Bulls is Arvid Lindblad, who was promoted from Formula 2 for 2026.
Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship Odds for Past Winners
Lando Norris won his first Drivers’ Championship in 2025, capturing the title in the final race of the season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Max Verstappen would win the race but Norris the title, with a third-place finish being enough to get the job done.
