Taylor is actually one of four Canadians currently inside the top-10 and is looking to become the first Canadian to win this event in 65 years.
Top of the Board
Kuchar already has two wins this season under his belt and is in prime position to add a third trophy to his mantle.
The FedExCup leader has been striking the ball immaculately all week, and leads the field in strokes gained tee to green and strokes gained total through 36 holes.
Two darts to end the round. ??

Brown’s ball striking has been equally as impressive, but there’s no way I can back a guy whose lone PGA Tour win came over six years ago at an alternate field event.
He has a long history of starting out hot before fading on the weekend, and if I’m going to bet somebody at the top, it has to be a proven winner like Kuchar.

Kuchar’s +300 odds are quite reasonable given his position and pedigree, and his steady, accurate game perfectly suits this golf course.
Stenson is Due
Speaking of accurate players, you’d be hard pressed to find a better iron player in the world than Henrik Stenson.
He leads the PGA Tour in strokes gained approach this year, and has been peppering greens again this week. Stenson ranks second in the field on approach and is finally rolling in some putts.
What’s In the Bag for @henrikstenson? A 3-wood that is a decade old and Callaway Legacy irons. Who has those ol’ faithful clubs that you just can’t let go? pic.twitter.com/QteSTJCcTz

He’s yet to make a bogey this week and has more than enough talent to erase a four stroke deficit over the course of two rounds; +1400 is a fair price for one of the class golfers within striking distance of the lead.
Best Live Value Picks at the RBC Canadian Open
- Adam Hadwin (+1600): He’s currently gaining strokes in all facets of his game, and won on a corollary course at Valspar two years ago.
- Shane Lowry (+2000): He’s playing his best golf in years, with top-8 finishes in each of his last two tournaments. He’s already racked up 11 birdies and an eagle through two rounds and if he can avoid the big numbers, he has enough firepower to make it to the top of the leaderboard.
- Justin Thomas (+4000): One of the elite scorers on Tour, he’s finally rounding into form after battling a wrist injury. He’s gained the fifth most strokes on approach this week, but ranks 132nd in putting. If he regresses back to the mean with the flat stick, a couple of very low rounds could be in his future this weekend.
