Buccaneers Big Favorites Over Falcons
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3) are the week’s biggest favorites despite being on the road as they are 13-point picks over the Carolina Panthers (5-9).
Tampa Bay took a four-game winning streak into Sunday night’s game against the Saints in New Orleans. While the Panthers saw their losing streak reach four games by falling 31-14 to the Bills in Buffalo earlier in the day.
It seemed clear it wouldn’t be the Panthers’ day when kicker Zane Gonzalez injured his quadriceps a little more than hour before the game during warmups. He had to be helped off the field and Carolina was left without a placekicker.

Cam Newton lost his 12th straight start for the Panthers, completing just 18 of 38 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown with one interception. But he did rush for 71 yards and a score on 15 carries.
Jaguars Slim Road Picks Over Jets
Despite having the worst record in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-12) are road favorites, albeit the slimmest on the board at one point, over the New York Jets (3-11).
The Jaguars lost their sixth straight game Sunday, dropping a 30-16 decision to the Houston Texans at home four days after coach Urban Meyer was fired.

Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence did not show marked improvement in offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell’s first game as interim coach. In the game, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft threw for 210 yards on 22-of-38 passing with no touchdowns or interceptions.
The Jets lost their third straight and for the six time in seven games as they blew an early 10-0 lead and fell 31-24 to the Dolphins in Miami.
Despite the loss, Brandin Echols had the biggest highlight for the Jets when he returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Both Zach Wilson and Braxton Berrios rushed for scores.

Unfortunately, Jets safety Elijah Riley was taken off the field on a backboard after being injured during the third quarter.
Highs and Lows
The week’s highest total is 49.5 points for the Los Angeles Rams’ visit to the Minnesota Vikings.
The Rams (9-4) entered the weekend fourth in the NFL in scoring average at 28.2 points a game. They visit the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday night in a game postponed from Sunday because a COVID-19 outbreak with the Rams.
Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford shined in the Rams’ 30-23 road victory over the Cardinals on Monday night.

The Vikings (6-7) have a 26.5 scoring average going into their game against the Bears on Monday night in Chicago. That figure ranked 10th in the league prior to Sunday.
Monday night’s game between the Dolphins and Saints total points is listed at 40.5. But the 31 points by the Dolphins against the Jets on Sunday was their second-highest total of the year. The Saints went into Sunday night’s game with the Buccaneers 11th in the NFL in scoring defense with a 21.9 average.
Movement on the Line?
While the Titans are struggling, it still seems a bit of a surprise they are 2.5-point underdogs at home to the streaking 49ers. The Titans are winning their division after all, so look for the line to dip a little bit before Thursday.
The Saints being three-point picks at home over the Dolphins also seems like a light spread. While the Dolphins are on a six-game winning streak, only one of those victories have come over a team with a winning record — the Baltimore Ravens.
