While the list of players limited at Raiders practice includes rusher Josh Jacobs, tight end Darren Waller, and cornerback Casey Hayward Jr.

Jacobs, Waller Limited at Practice
For a fourth straight week, Josh Jacobs has found his way on to the Raiders injury report. Jacobs has been hampered by a nagging rib injury that has forced the team to regularly give him plenty of midweek rest.
That continued this week, with Jacobs once again being limited on all three practice days before ending the week with no status.

Jacobs racked up a career-high 132 rushing yards and ran for one score in last weekend’s pivotal 35-32 overtime win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and has averaged 108 rushing yards while tallying a pair of scoring runs over the past three weeks.

Veteran tight end Darren Waller returned to action in last weekend’s win after missing five games due to injury and COVID-19. The Raiders have been careful with Waller as he continues to nurse a knee injury, limiting him in practice throughout the week, but the 29-year-old carries no designation on the team’s final injury report.
The Raiders only have one player even listed on the game status report: DT Johnathan Hankins is questionable with a back/knee injury.

Two other players were limited in practice this week, and just one other player was tagged with a game status on Friday’s injury report. Cornerback Casey Howard Jr. was given time to rest an injured ankle, and safety Tre’von Moehrig closed out the week as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. However, DT Johnathan Hankins is listed as questionable after he was held out of practice on Thursday and Friday due to a back injury.

Player | Position | Injury | Game Status |
---|---|---|---|
Josh Tupou | DT | Knee | Doubtful |
Jalen Davis | CB | Ankle | Questionable |
Stanley Morgan | WR | Hamstring | Questionable |
Burrow, Higgins Expected to See Action
The Bengals enjoy good health as they prepare for their first playoff action in six years. Concerns lingered over the status of Joe Burrow after he was held out of practice a week ago with a nagging knee injury. With Cincinnati already assured of top spot in the AFC North, Burrow also enjoyed a well deserved day off last Sunday.

The Bengals pivot remained listed on this week’s injury report, but was a full participant at practice throughout the week, and carries no designation. Burrow’s spectacular performances in his past two outings have made him an attractive bet in the Raiders vs Bengals props. However, he has work to do to improve on his production against the Raiders after tossing for a season-low 148 yards in Las Vegas in Week 11.

Tee Higgins also enjoyed a day off last weekend, but unexpectedly popped up on this week’s injury report with a foot injury that limited him on Thursday and Friday. The 22-year-old racked up 1,091 receiving yards and six scoring catches during the regular season, highlighted by a 194-yard, two-TD performance in a pivotal 41-21 win over Baltimore in Week 16.
#Bengals elevate DT Mike Daniels and WR/KR/PR Trent Taylor from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game.
Daniels should fill the role vacated by Josh Tupou (knee) and Taylor continue his same role as a returner.

Three Bengals close out the week with injury report designations. DT Josh Tupou has missed the past three games, and is listed as doubtful after missing practice throughout the week with a knee injury. Cornerback Jalen Davis has seen action in just one game since late October, and is listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Receiver Stanley Morgan saw limited action last weekend in his first appearance since Week 12, but a hamstring injury leaves him listed as questionable.
Impact of Injuries on Raiders vs Bengals Betting Lines
There has been plenty of line movement since the Bengals opened as 6-point chalk, with Cincinnati dipping to -4.5 before rebounding to their current position at -5.5. However, those Raiders vs Bengals betting trends can be attributed to growing enthusiasm among the Raiders faithful, and the long memories of sports bettors who are struggling to get past Cincinnati’s current eight-game straight up losing streak in playoff action. Indeed, as the weekend approached, the action is tilting towards Las Vegas, with the Raiders attracting 87% of bets.
