- Scheffler’s 65 has him at -11, three clear of pack heading into Sunday
- Oddsmakers anoint Scheffler heavy -450 favorite to claim first PGA Championship
Scottie Scheffler didn’t just move on moving day at the PGA Championship. He put on a clinic at Quail Hollow, firing a back-nine 31 en route to a 6-under 65 that rocketed him to 11-under par. The world No. 1 will take a three-shot lead into Sunday as he looks to add a PGA Championship to his Masters wins in 2022 and 2024.
Here’s a look at the latest PGA Championship leaderboard, along with an odds breakdown further below.
2025 PGA Championship Leaderboard – Round 3
Scheffler, who led the field in Strokes Gained: Approach on Saturday, put on a ball-striking clinic on Quail Hollow’s back nine. The 28-year-old Texan wowed fans with his touch and creativity around the greens. He showcased a clever bump-and-run to set up a tap-in eagle at the 14th, and drained a slippery downhiller on 18 for a closing birdie that felt like an exclamation point on a statement round.
Oddsmakers certainly liked what they saw from Scheffler. He’s now an overwhelming -450 favorite heading into the final round in the updated PGA Championship odds.
Latest PGA Championship Odds 2025
Scheffler -450 favorite price implies an 81.8% chance of him winning the tournament Sunday.

PGA Odds Paint Grim Picture for Challengers
Catching Scheffler won’t be easy. The three players closest to him – Alex Noren, Jon Rahm and Davis Riley – are all at least three shots adrift. Noren, at +1800, is the oddsmakers’ second choice after a bogey-free 66 on Saturday. But the 42-year-old Swede, winless on the PGA Tour, would be a surprising winner, to say the least.
Rahm (+2200) has the talent and major pedigree to make things interesting. The 2023 Masters champ is seeking to complete the career Grand Slam and cement his status as Scheffler’s chief rival. But he’ll need something special – and some help from Scheffler – to erase a three-shot deficit.
DeChambeau (+3000) lurks five shots back after a wild 72 that included a double bogey on the brutal 18th. The 2020 U.S. Open champ has the firepower to go low, but he’ll need a Herculean effort (and a Scheffler collapse) to have a chance.
PGA Longshot to Watch: Si Woo Kim (+5500)
Flying a bit under the radar is Si Woo Kim, who quietly posted a 2-under 69 on Saturday to reach -5 overall. The 27-year-old South Korean, best known for his win at the 2017 Players Championship, has a ton of talent and could be poised for a Sunday charge.

Kim’s iron play has been dialed in all week, regularly setting up birdie looks. He’s also one of the few players in the top 10 with a PGA Tour win in the last 12 months, having triumphed at the Sony Open in January
Scheffler Eyes Major No. 3
Scheffler, of course, is no stranger to protecting a 54-hole lead. He’s 3-for-3 previously in that position at majors, converting Saturday cushions into wins at the 2022 and 2024 Masters. That track record, coupled with his current form (four wins in his last nine worldwide starts), makes him a deserved heavy favorite.
A victory at Quail Hollow would further solidify Scheffler’s status as golf’s alpha dog and bolster his case as a historically great player. At just 28, he’s already drawing comparisons to peak Tiger Woods in terms of his ability to dominate fields and close out tournaments.
Barring a stunning turn of events, expect Scheffler to be smiling alongside the Wanamaker Trophy come Sunday evening. He’s 18 holes away from his first PGA Championship and his third major title. If he keeps playing like this, it certainly won’t be his last.
