The Indiana Fever (1-0, 1-0 home, 1-0 ATS) got a huge performance from Caitlin Clark in their season-opening rout of Chicago (93-58), easily covering as eight-point favorites. On Tuesday, the Fever look to improve to 2-0 on the young season when they welcome the Atlanta Dream (0-1, 0-1 away, 0-1 ATS) to Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 7:00 pm ET.

Atlanta, which completely overhauled its roster by bringing in Brittney Griner (17.8 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 2.3 APG in 2024) and Briona Jones (13.7 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 1.5 APG in 2024) in the offseason, didn’t live up to expectations on opening night, falling 94-90 at Washington as eight-point road favorites. Now they head to Indy as 7.5-point underdogs.

The game total is sitting at 173.0 with -110 odds each way. The Fever stayed under in their win over Chicago, with the teams combining for just 151 points, falling well short of the 169.5-point O/U. The Dream, on the other hand, soared over the total in their loss to Washington, combining for 184 points against a total of just 157.

Indiana was the best over bet in the WNBA last season, going 27-15 O/U. Atlanta, in its much-different-looking 2024 iteration, was 19-21 O/U.

The Fever (+334 on average) are second only to the reigning-champion New York Liberty (+209 on average) in the 2025 WNBA championship odds. Atlanta is seventh at +4483.

Clark’s point total is a relatively high 21.5 O/U. Clark averaged 19.4 PPG as a rookie and had 20 in the season opener on 6-of-13 shooting from the field, while dishing out 10 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Fever teammate Aliyah Boston (14.0 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 3.2 APG in 2024) has the highest rebound total at 9.5 O/U. She grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds against Chicago.

Griner and 2022 first-overall pick Rhyne Howard (17.3 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.1 APG in 2024) have the highest point totals on the Atlanta side at 16.5 O/U.

Atlanta Dream vs Indiana Fever Picks & Predictions

  • Dream +7.5 (-110) at BetMGM
  • Clark under 21.5 points (-115) at bet365
  • Sascha Park’s WNBA betting record: 1-1 (-0.09 units). All wagers one unit unless expressly stated otherwise.

It’s fair to say that the Dream have been less than a sum of their parts over the last year-plus. They barely squeaked into the postseason in 2024, a year after finishing fifth in the league. The additions of Griner and Jones should be more than enough to replace outgoing legend Tina Charles, who averaged 14.9 PPG and 9.6 RPG in her lone season with Atlanta.

It may take some time for first-year head coach Karl Smesko to make the pieces work, but the pieces are certainly there for Atlanta to be a top-five team again.

As impressive as Indiana looked in its season-opening win against Chicago, the Sky are in the midst of a rebuild. Indiana beat Atlanta in all four meetings last season, but only one win was by more than seven points.

The point total for Clark at bet365 is also a touch too high. Clark’s total is 20.5 at all other sportsbooks.
