The teams flew over the total in Game 1, a 138-135 OT win for the Pacers (which had already exceeded the 221.5-point total by the end of regulation). But the last two both stayed under.

Each of Game 1 and 3 featured massive comebacks. In Game 1, Indiana came back from nine points down in the final minute to force OT and eventually win it in the extra frame. Brunson, who was held to just 23 points last time out, had 43 in Game 1 and 36 in Game 2, but only went over 29 points once in six games against Boston in round two of the NBA playoff bracket.

Tyrese Haliburton is only averaging 18.5 PPG in the postseason and has stayed under 21.5 points in nine of 13 playoff games to date. The Pacers won Games 1 and 2 when he dished out 11 assists apiece and had just three total turnovers, but they fell in Game 3 when he had just seven dimes and three turnovers.

When Indiana’s offense is at its best, Haliburton is a pass-first point guard who’s getting all his teammates involved. He’s averaging 18.0 FGA in three games against New York, way up from the Cleveland series (11.4), the Milwaukee series (15.2), and the regular season (13.8).

I don’t expect that continue and I love the under on his point total of 21.5, which is up three full points from the Game 1 number of 18.5 O/U and one point from Game 3.

I’m also going back to the well on the Pacers moneyline, though, which burned me in horrific fashion on Sunday. Indiana was in full control and has been excellent at home all season. They also had a massive let-down against the Cavaliers in Game 3 last round – though it was more in the first half than the second – and answered the bell with aplomb in Game 4, routing Cleveland 129-109 in a game they led by as many as 44 points early in the second half.

The public’s strongest take on Game 4 is on the total, where over 221.is currently getting 90% of O/U handle and 94% of the O/U wagers (as of 3:22 pm ET on gameday).

Tuesday’s NBA public betting splits are all over the Pacers to cover as modest two-point home chalk: Indiana is getting 72% of the ATS tickets along with 69% of all the money bet against the spread.

The moneyline splits show both teams getting exactly 50% of the handle, but bigger bets are on the Knicks, who are getting half the money on just 35% of the moneyline wagers.
