New York online sports betting is trending towards a strong month of May.
The New York State Gaming Commission reported $478.2 million in online sports betting handle for the week ending May 25, a more than $22.6 million decrease in handle compared with the week before.
Despite the decrease, gross gaming revenue increased by more than $13 million for the week, leading New York to already eclipse its revenue totals for April.
More than $200 Million in NY Sports Betting Revenue
The New York State Gaming Commission reported $478,231,537 in total handle and $62,886,002 in gross gaming revenue for the week ending May 25. It was the most profitable week of New York online sports betting for the month.
For the first time this month, DraftKings outperformed FanDuel in terms of handle for the week. DraftKings reported $179,179,440 in total handle for the week, trumping FanDuel’s $170,788,382 total. However, FanDuel had a more profitable week, reporting $26,436,257 in gross gaming revenue compared with DraftKing’s $21,469,703.
The New York State Gaming Commission releases handle and revenue reports for its nine live NY sports betting apps, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics Sportsbook, Bally Bet, Resorts World Bet, ESPN BET, and BetRivers, at the conclusion of each week.
