Missouri Tigers Football Odds for 2025
Missouri was a playoff contender into mid-October.
Where to Find the Best Mizzou Odds
Mizzou football odds will be offered at the best Missouri sports betting apps when sports betting launches on Dec. 1, 2025.
DraftKings Missouri and FanDuel Missouri are likely to be two apps with consistently competitive odds, as they’ve been great college football betting apps in other legal states.
My recommendation, however, would be to have multiple sports betting apps available so you can compare odds. While DraftKings may provide the best number on the Tigers one week, it could be BetMGM the next.
When comparing odds, make sure to look beyond the headline numbers. If the consensus number on a game is Mizzou -6.5, see which sportsbook is offering the best odds on that spread. Everyone could be at the standard -110, while bet365 could come in at -105. These are small differences, but ones that could give you an edge.
Mizzou Football Betting Trends & Analysis
In 2024, Missouri was one of the better teams in the country against the spread, going 9-4 on the season. That was tied for sixth-best nationally.
Since Eli Drinkwitz took over the program prior to the 2020 season, the team is 34-28 against the Missouri football spread.
A deeper dive into the numbers, however, shows that Missouri’s 2024 ATS success was buoyed by its efforts against lesser teams. The Tigers were 6-2 ATS as a favorite, while just 2-2 as an underdog.
In games against ranked opponents, they were 1-3 against the spread.
Types of Mizzou Football Bets to Make
When browsing through Mizzou football odds, you’ll find several different types of bets to make. Here’s a look at what is available at most college football betting apps:
- Moneyline Bets: Simple win or loss bet. The team with the lower number is the favorite, while the higher number is the underdog. If Missouri is -150 against Kansas, you’ll need to bet $150 to win $100. If they are +200 against Alabama, you will make $200 on a $100 bet.
- Point Spread: Betting on the Mizzou football spread means you’re betting on the margin of victory or defeat. For instance, if the line is Missouri -6.5 vs. Vanderbilt, Missouri would need to win by seven or more points to win the bet. Any Vanderbilt win, or Missouri win by six or fewer, would be a winning bet on the Vandy side.
- Over/Under (Total): Wagering on the combined score of both teams. If the total is 40.5 for Missouri vs. South Carolina, you would bet the Over if you thought the teams would combine for 41 or more points, and the Under if you thought they’d score 40 or fewer.
- Futures Bets: These are longterm wagers on Mizzou football, such as Missouri to win the SEC Championship, National Championship or make the College Football Playoff.
- Prop Bets: These are wagers on specific game or player events occurring. Will Mizzou record x number of first downs? Will Beau Pribula throw for over/under 200.5 passing yards?
Key Factors Influencing Mizzou Tigers Odds
As the season gets closer, there will be more information available about Missouri’s depth chart and injury situation, and that of their opponents.
But there are several factors influence Missouri football odds, including the following:
- Key injuries
- Recent performances
- Matchup analysis
- Homefield advantage
- Advanced statistical profiles of each team
Expert Picks and Predictions for Mizzou Games
Those factors not only help in the creation of odds but are also what experts will analyze prior to making their predictions.
Advanced stats have taken over as the main predictive tools for college football, with SP+ and FEI among the most cited. These are great tools to use for bettors, as well, as sometimes you can target a game where the spread and the projected margin aren’t in line.
Our experts at SBD will also be making predictions throughout the season.
Betting Strategies for Mizzou Tigers Games
Here are some general strategies to keep in mind when looking at Mizzou football betting odds and deciding how to bet on them:
- Understanding Implied Probability: I touched on implied probability earlier, which are a good way to look at a bet. Simply looking at the odds can distort our feelings on a bet, as we get attracted to the potential win. But the implied probability will give you a number that better shows the chances of an event happening. To calculate implied probability, use the following equations:
- Negative odds: (Odds)/(Odds+100)
- Positive odds: 100/(Odds+100)
- Bankroll Management: If you plan to bet often on Mizzou football spreads or odds, you’ll want to have a set unit size, depending on your bankroll. For most bettors, that is 1% or 2% of their bankroll, although if your bankroll is smaller, say $100, you might want to look at betting in $5 or $10 increments. Staying consistent helps you to stay disciplined and avoid emotional decisions and risks.
- When to Bet: Some bettors like to jump on lines early in the week, as they have yet to be moved by sharps or the public. If you have a very good read on a game, and the line looks favorable, this could be the way to go. Others prefer to wait and see if the line will move into a more favorable place, possibly passing a key number (3 or 7). Waiting also allows you to digest all possible injury information prior to making a bet.
Mizzou Tigers Football Season Outlook and Futures Odds
Coming off a 10-3 season, including a bowl victory, Missouri did have some momentum heading into the offseason.
However, key losses such as quarterback Brady Cook and receiver Luther Burden, have the Tigers toward the bottom half of SEC power rankings heading into the 2025 season.
The aforementioned SP+ rankings do have the Tigers at No. 21 nationally, however, with an average of 7.7 wins in its latest projections.
Still, any Mizzou football futures bet would be a longshot, as the Tigers are +2000 to make the SEC title game, +800 to make the College Football Playoff, and +15000 to win the national title (all odds from DraftKings).
Key Players to Watch in 2025
The biggest decider of how Mizzou’s football season – and in turn, Mizzou football odds – will turn out is the quarterback battle. Penn State transfer Beau Pribula and former 4-star recruit Sam Horn.
Pribula famously left Penn State during the CFP a year ago, while Horn is entering his fourth season in Columbia. Whoever grabs the starting job – they were said to be neck and neck during spring practice – will have massive shoes to fill after the graduation of Brady Cook.
They will have some help, though, as Drinkwitz added plenty of offensive help through the portal with receivers Kevin Coleman Jr. (Mississippi State) and Xavier Loyd (Illinois State), running back Ahmad Hardy (ULM), and tackles Keagen Trost (Wake Forest) and Johnny Williams IV (West Virginia).
The defense was also buoyed in the portal, as reigning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year Josiah Trotter (linebacker, West Virginia) and safety Jalen Catalon (UNLV) figure to make an immediate impact.
They join returning DT Chris McClellan, LB Triston Newson and nickel Daylan Carnell on what should be a very solid defensive unit.
2025 Mizzou Football Schedule Overview
With all those new faces, Missouri should benefit from its schedule. The Tigers don’t go on the road until an Oct. 18 trip to Auburn, and play eight of their 12 games at home.
Yes, eight. That includes matchups against South Carolina, Alabama and Texas A&M, which could be the three toughest games on the schedule.
Perhaps as notable is who isn’t on the schedule, as Missouri will not have to play Georgia, Texas, LSU or Tennessee.
This could lead to some early momentum for Mizzou, as it breaks in a new starting quarterback with either Pribula or Horn.
