  • Micah Parsons has requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys
  • Odds for Parson’s next team have been released, and the Cowboys are still the favorites
  • See below for the latest Micah Parsons Next Team odds, and my predictions for where he will play this season

After a long offseason of negotiating a new contract, Micah Parsons has officially requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys. It seems unlikely that he will be dealt with just over a month left until the NFL regular season kicks off, but both sides are still far apart from a new deal. Parsons is in the last year of his rookie contract.

DraftKings was quick to release odds for where the 4x Pro-Bowler will play in 2025-26.

Let’s break down the latest Micah Parsons Next Team odds and see who the best landing spots would be.

Micah Parsons Next Team Odds

TeamOdds
Dallas Cowboys-300
Philadelphia Eagles+1000
New England Patriots+1000
Los Angeles Chargers+1500
Arizona Cardinals+1600
San Francisco 49ers+1600
Los Angeles Rams+1800
Carolina Panthers+2200
New York Jets+2500
Las Vegas Raiders+2500

The odds suggest that Parsons will still be on the Cowboys this season, as Dallas is the -300 favorite. Division rival, Philadelphia, and the Patriots have the next best odds to land the superstar defender.

Will the Cowboys Trade Micah Parsons?

Initial reports suggest that the Cowboys have no intentions of trading Parsons, even after he requested a trade. It would be a total surprise if a trade ends up happening. Parsons is one of the top defensive players in the NFL and has at least 12 sacks in each of his four seasons.

Parsons wants a lucrative deal after seeing fellow edge rushers TJ Watt and Myles Garrett sign for big extensions earlier this offseason. He is younger than both Watt and Garrett.

Still, Parsons said in a social media post, “I no longer want to play for the Cowboys.” He seems set on not playing another snap for Dallas, but it is still to be seen if the Cowboys will actually trade away the key contributor of their defense.

Micah Parsons Next Team Best Bet

This whole situation begs the question: which teams make the most sense for Parsons? In all likelihood, Parsons will likely remain on the Cowboys, but at -300, I am not going to bet on that, so let’s use the odds to make our prediction.

The Eagles have the second-best odds, and Parsons has ties to Pennsylvania after playing college football at Penn State. However, there is no way that the Cowboys deal a player of Parsons’s caliber to a division rival. It would certainly make Dallas’s Week 1 game vs the Eagles much more interesting.

Howie Roseman has made some seemingly impossible deals happen, so you cannot rule out the reigning Super Bowl Champs entirely, but once again, it seems unlikely.

My best bet for Micah Parsons’s next team would be the New England Patriots, who have the same odds as the Eagles at +1000.

The Patriots have the most cap space in the NFL and have a new head coach in Mike Vrabel, who would love to add a player like Parsons to his defense. The fit is there, and they have the money to pay what Parsons wants.

Parsons and Patriots’ QB, Drake Maye, have also already met. Back in February, they played each other in ping pong. Drake Maye beat Micah Parsons, and Parsons asked for Maye’s phone number after the match. It might be nothing, but it is an interesting story nonetheless. Parsons playing in a Mike Vrabel defense would be a nightmare for AFC East teams.

Best Micah Parsons Next Team Pick:

  • New England Patriots (+1000)
