It is crazy that NFL Week 3 is already underway, and I am back to give you my favorite NFL picks against the spread for this weekend’s action.

Some teams have looked great, and others have not, but it is still too early in the NFL season to know everything about all of these teams.

Let’s dive into the NFL Week 3 matchups and spreads and find some value.

NFL ATS Pick #1: Vikings -3 vs Bengals

The Bengals might be 2-0, but they have not looked great in getting there. And to make matters even worse, Joe Burrow will be out for an extended period of time. That means Jake Browning will be under center on Sunday against the ferocious Vikings defense.

Browning threw three interceptions last week, and Brian Flores is going to disguise his defense and make it even more difficult for Browning to throw the ball. He will also not have a lot of time in the pocket as Minnesota will be blitzing early and often against Cincinnati’s weak offensive line.

Now the Vikings will also be starting their backup quarterback in this game, but I trust Carson Wentz, and more importantly, I trust Kevin O’Connell’s offense to be able to move the ball effectively against this Bengals defense.

This is a bet on the Vikings defense and coaching, and I believe the Vikings will get the home win by at least three points.

• Week 3 NFL Pick: Vikings -3 (+100)

NFL ATS Pick #2: Patriots +1.5 vs Steelers

Both of these teams are 1-1, and interestingly enough, it has been the Pittsburgh defense that has struggled to start the year.

Drake Maye has looked good through two weeks. He has thrown for at least 230 yards in each of his first two games and has a 3:1 touchdown to interception ratio. He also ran for a touchdown last week.

I believe that he will have another strong outing against this Steelers defense. The Steelers were embarrassed last week, giving up 6.2 yards per play against the Seahawks.

The Steelers have been known for slow starts offensively of late, and if they get behind, it will be difficult for them to come back and win with their defensive struggles and with how Maye has looked to start the year.

An interesting betting trend is that the Steelers are 1-8 straight up and 1-7-1 against the spread vs the Patriots since 2013. I am predicting that that trend will continue on Sunday, and the Patriots will get the win at home.

• Week 3 NFL Pick: Patriots +1.5 (-105)

NFL ATS Pick #3: Saints +7.5 vs Seahawks

Yes, I am betting on the Saints on the road in Week 3. They were the presumed worst team in the league heading into the year, and despite starting 0-2, they have been competitive. They lost by a touchdown to the Cardinals in Week 1, and then lost by five to the 49ers last week.

They were in both games, and I believe this week’s game will be no different. The Seahawks looked great last week, but I am not sold on them being some sort of world-beater.

Spencer Rattler has moved the ball for this offense, and the defense has been middle of the pack, which is not terrible considering what we thought of this team heading into the year. This game should be a one-score game.

Seattle was 2-7 against the spread at home last season, so I am not worried about the Saints having to travel in this one.

Betting on 0-2 teams has been a strong betting angle for years. Since 2010, 0-2 teams are 40-17-1 against the spread vs 1-1 teams in Week 3. In fact, last year, 0-2 teams went 5-2 straight up against 1-1 teams in Week 3. 7.5 points is too many points for me to lay with the Seahawks. Hold your breath and take the Saints to cover the spread.
