The last Saturday night CFB contest featuring a top-25 team comes your way from Colorado, as the Buffaloes host #24 BYU at 10:15pm ET. The Cougars are off to a perfect start to the 2025 season, blowing out each of their first three opponents thanks to a potent rushing attack and a dominant defense.
Those two traits highlight my BYU vs Colorado college football player props betting card, as I’m looking to buy BYU’s LJ Martin, and fade Colorado’s Kaidon Salter.
BYU vs Colorado Player Props
The ladder checks in with a 193.5 yard passing prop, a line that’s three yards higher than Cougars QB Bear Bachmeier. Martin meanwhile, has an enormous 100.5 yard rushing prop, but I’m banking on him putting up even more production against this dreadful Buffaloes run defense.

BYU vs Colorado Player Props: LJ Martin Alt Rushing Yards
Martin enters play as one of only three FBS running backs to average at least 8.5 yards per carry. He’s cleared 100 rushing yards in all three games so far, hitting at least 110 yards twice. The junior is fresh off a 131 yard rushing performance, and then came on only 8 carries in a blowout over Portland State.
Martin is an explosive play waiting to happen. He’s ripped off at least one 40+ yard rush in all three contests, running behind BYU’s sixth ranked offensive line.
As for the matchup, it’s mouth watering. Colorado has allowed 529 rushing yards in two games versus legit competition, and ranks outside the top-100 in opponent rushing yards per game.
- LJ Martin 110+ Rushing Yards (+110 at FanDuel)
BYU vs Colorado Player Props: Kaidon Salter Passing Yards
As for Salter, yes he’s back in the starting role, but a bet backing him comes with extreme risk. We’ve already seen Coach Prime bench his transfer QB, and another slow could prompt him to do so again.
Salter is a true dual-threat option, but is more dangerous as a runner than a passer. Yards through the air have been extremely difficult to come by versus the Cougars, as they boast a defense that rivals some of the top National Championship odds contenders.
BYU is yielding only 5.8 yards per pass attempt, and a 56% completion rate. Both marks rank top-24 in the country, while Salter isn’t exactly known for volume or accuracy.
The Senior pivot has a career 59% completion rate over five seasons, and is averaging just 24 pass attempts per start. Contrast that with his rushing numbers, where he’s ripping off nearly 5.0 yards a pop on 11 carries per outing.
- Kaidon Salter Under 193.5 Passing Yards (-114 at FanDuel)
BYU vs Colorado Same-Game Parlay
Moving over to the same-game parlay streets where I’m combining my two favorite BYU vs Colorado player props, with the Cougars moneyline. That pays +321, and you could make those odds even juicier by backing BYU as 6.5-point favorites.
The Cougars have a +22.5 average point differential thus far, and have covered each of their first three games by 14+ points.
- BYU vs Colorado SGP: Martin 110+ Rushing Yards, Salter Under 193.5 Passing Yards, and BYU Moneyline (+321)
