New York Online Sports Betting Sets Record High For Revenue

Prediction markets? What prediction markets? The New York online sports betting market reported its most profitable month ever, capping off its most successful two month run in the state’s sports betting history.

New York experienced its most profitable month of online sports betting ever, as the New York State Gaming Commission reported the state took in more than $280.5 million in gross gaming revenue in November.

Over the past two months, New York online sports betting has brought in more than $519.3 million in gross gaming revenue.

Record-Setting Month of Sports Betting

The New York State Gaming Commission reported $280,556,234 in online sports betting revenue in November, setting a new record for the state and topping the previous record of $248,906,754 this past May.

Over the span of October and November, the New York State Gaming Commission has brought in $519,301,983 in sports betting revenue, by far the most revenue brought in over two months.

At the state’s 51% tax rate, New York brought in a combined $264,844,011 in tax revenue for October and November. Additionally, New York sports bettors wagered more than $5.24 billion in the last two months, another state record.

The New York State Gaming Commission releases handle and revenue reports for its nine live NY sports betting apps, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics Sportsbook, Bally Bet, Resorts World Bet, theScore Bet, and BetRivers, at the conclusion of each week.

ESPN BET rebranded to theScore Bet across the country on Monday, Dec. 1. In ESPN BET’s last week of operation in the Empire State, it reported $12,180,558 in online sports betting handle and $1,235,941 in gross gaming revenue.

FanDuel Maintains Top Spot in New York

FanDuel New York maintained its the top operator spot in the state with a strong week, eclipsing DraftKings NY in both handle and gross gaming revenues. FanDuel reported $246,890,964 in online sports betting handle and $30,544,203 in gross gaming revenue for the week, topping DraftKings’ respective totals of $217,365,860 and $27,343,229.

Fanatics Sportsbook kept its stranglehold on the third spot in New York, reported $51.6 million in handle and $6.1 million in gross gaming revenue.
