Seahawks vs 49ers Player Prop #1: Sam Darnold Over 237.5 Passing Yards

For my first prop, I’m going with the Seahawks QB Sam Darnold to have a big day with his arm. He’s up against a 49ers defense that’s allowed Philip Rivers (277 yards) and Caleb Williams (330) to exploit them through the air in back-to-back games. Darnold has tossed for 238 yards or more in three of his last four outings, and put up 268 versus SF last year with Minnesota. San Francisco is last in sacks (18) and tied second worst with just six interceptions.

If locking down the #1 seed, having a first round playoff bye and exorcising the demons from his late season collapse with the Vikings last year wasn’t enough incentive, Darnold has a lot financially riding on a big game. For the campaign, the 49ers are eighth worst in passing yards allowed per skirmish, and I suspect it’ll be a high flying matchup between these two rivals.

• Sam Darnold Over 237.5 Passing Yards (-115 at BetMGM)

SEA vs SF Prop Pick #2: Brock Purdy Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes

For my next prop I’m looking at the other sideline in Brock Purdy making this an absolute wild and instant classic. He’s been on fire, racking up 13 total TD’s in the last three duels, tossing five touchdowns vs the Colts two matches ago, the most by a SF QB since Joe Montana in 1990. He followed that up with five total touchdowns in a chaotic 42-38 victory over the Bears on SNF.

Purdy is up against a very stout Seahawks passing defense which has allowed just 20 passing touchdowns, though they were torched by Matthew Stafford’s three TD strikes and 457 yards two duels ago. Additionally, safety Coby Bryant (knee) is doubtful to suit up.

For a touchdown scorer prop, if I’m already going with Brock Purdy to throw for two or more touchdowns, it would make sense to pair him up with a trusted and favorite target. George Kittle is his safety blanket, and is questionable to play (ankle). Should he put on the uniform, he’ll be looking to kill the Seahawks like he has in recent meetings.

After not registering a TD in his first eight career battles against his NFC West foes, Kittle has exploded for a whopping eight in his last six times competing versus Seattle, finding paydirt twice on three occasions. Only once in the last six matchups vs SEA has he failed to get into the end zone.
