Nationally televised NBA games on Saturday night rule. They just do. Always have. And tonight, we’ve got a good one between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. I don’t have to tell you, we’re going to need some action on this thing. It’s just the way it is. Lucky for us, I’ve got the perfect plan.

I thought long and hard about this, and I’ve come to the conclusion that we need a guy. Like a “real” guy. One we can trust. That way, when we’re watching this thing, we know where the focus needs to be. Trust me, it’s the way, and it’s easy too. All we have to do is find two different props for the same guy and tie them together in an SGP. It’s the perfect crime. Feels smart.

Lakers/Warriors Parlay Leg #1 – De’Anthony Melton Can Still Ball

De’Anthony Melton is going to be our guy tonight. He’s perfect. He has all the things. He can shoot, he can play defense, and he can rebound. The possibilities are endless for us. But the main thing he has is mystic. The books simply don’t know how to price him since he’s been hurt for so long.

But don’t fear, he’s back now, and he’s as healthy as a horse. Maybe even healthier.

It’s not just Melton we’re betting tonight, it’s his role. The Warriors are missing a ton of guys, mainly Steph Curry. Since that’s the case, there is a ton of usage to soak up, so we should try to figure out where it is going. From what we’ve seen lately out of them, De’Anthony Melton is a good place to start.

I’m thinking first-quarter points for De’Anthony tonight. It’s a seldom-used market for a lot of people, and I don’t know why. A lot of times, we can catch a guy to score twice in the quarter to take us to the promised land. One of those times is tonight with De’Anthony. The guy is getting the minutes and the shot volume to fly over four points in the first frame. He’s actually done it in two of his last three games. Feels like cheating.

Lakers/Warriors Parlay Leg #2 – Let’s Make Tonight All About De’Anthony

Now is where we get a little artistic. We have to find another prop, preferably one that correlates. Obviously, we’re going to get dinged on the odds, but since we’re keeping this thing to two legs. I think we’re good. We’ve been hit harder. We’re vets.

I wish we could bet on De’Anthony to posterize someone, but we aren’t allowed.

The obvious market for us to attack is the Made-Threes market. For starters, if he makes a three in the first quarter, it helps both bets on one play. That’s called correlation, baby. Again, the books will ding us with the odds, but we’re fine with that. This is a Saturday Night vibes move. They work different.

The move for us is to take De’Anthony to hit 2+ threes in this thing. His standard line is 2.5, but two will do for us. He’s done that in each of his last four games, but more importantly, he’s shooting a ton of them. He’s literally taken 10 in each of his last two games. In his last game, he hit two in the first quarter. It would be pretty sweet if he did that again.
