On Saturday, four series will kick off, including the Battle of Pennsylvania between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

That matchup is where my interest lies, as I’ve scoured the lines to find my favorite NHL player props.

Read below for my favorite picks, and a nice three-legged parlay paying out at +1100 odds.

Flyers vs Penguins Player Props for Game 1

No surprise here that Sidney Crosby, the leading point-getter of all active players in the NHL Playoffs, has the shortest odds to score a goal, though he’s got plus odds to pick up a pair of points.

For Philadelphia, 24-year-old Tyson Foerster has the shortest odds to light the lamp, followed by 19-year-old Porter Martone.

PHI vs PIT Pick #1: Sidney Crosby Points

The 38-year-old Crosby finished the regular season well, picking up points in nine of his final 12 games, tallying at least two points in three of his last four games. Taking that into consideration, I don’t know why the books popped plus odds on him getting a couple of points in the opener?

It’s not like Philly has him bottled up: Sid has picked up at least two points in each of the last two meetings, and has points in six of the last seven meetings, topping the 1.5 line four times.

The last time we saw Crosby in the playoffs was in 2022 against the Rangers, and he opened that series gangbusters, with four straight multi-point games to start.

Flyers vs Penguins Pick #2: Matvei Michkov Points

While I’m less confident here than I am with Crosby, what I do know is the Penguins won’t likely be pitching a shutout with their tandem of goalies. Someone has to put up points, so why not take a flier on this Flyer? Matvie Michkov had a solid second year, picking up 20 goals and 51 points.

He was solid down the home stretch, with points in eight of his final dozen games, including a goal in each of his final three games.

Yes, this will be his first playoff experience, but he’s pretty comfortable against Pittsburgh, with points in four of the last six matchups, including points in each of the last two games.

• Pick: Michkov Over 0.5 points (+120 at bet365)

Flyers vs Penguins Same-Game Parlay for Game 1

For my same-game parlay, I’m starting with the Over, which has hit in seven of the last 10 head-to-head matchups, including the final three games of the regular season.

Anthony Mantha led the Penguins in goal scoring this year with 33, and he ended the regular season with goals in back-to-back games. That should be the spark he needs to break through and tally against the Flyers, a team he’s failed to score against in four games as a Penguin.

Finally, we’re hoping that youngster Porter Martone doesn’t know any better and continues to produce at a high clip.

The 19-year-old broke onto the scene late in the season and proceeded to pick up four goals and 10 points in nine games. Martone finished the year picking up an assist in five of his last six games.
