Grant Holmes has been a highly effective run-preventer, yielding a microscopic .189 opponent batting average. He draws a highly favorable matchup against a Phillies offense that’s produced the fourth fewest runs in MLB (89).
Meanwhile, Andrew Painter brings elite swing-and-miss electricity (9.82 K/9) but struggles immensely with base traffic, allowing a .292 batting average. Facing a Braves lineup that has plated the most runs in baseball (150), with an elite .807 OPS, the young right-hander is in a vulnerable spot.
