Most notable is Joel Embiid getting his knee rolled into twice by fallen teammates, and the big man (who just returned from an emergency appendectomy) was severely hobbled to finish the game.

If Embiid is compromised, that really shifts the balance of power. Philly is as good as anyone left in the playoffs with Embiid, who can work inside, scoring and wrecking defenses, softening it up for Tyrese Maxey to close it out.

New York is arguably the team to beat in the East right now, after turning on the afterburners against the Hawks after falling behind 2-1 in that series. That culminated with an historic 50-point halftime lead in their Game 6 clincher.

The Knicks are second in the playoffs to just the Thunder in scoring, putting up a crisp 117.8 points per game, and they lead the NBA in shooting at 49.9% from the floor.

They definitely unlocked something in their offense by dropping Karl-Anthony Towns at the elbow and letting him dictate offense, creating easy scores off back cuts, particularly to OG Anunoby.

The result? OG averaged 21.5 points on 61.1% shooting from the field, including a healthy 17-for-30 from beyond the arc, a blistering 56.7% clip.

That diversity keeps New York so Jalen Brunson dependant, but also leaves the diminutive star guard fresh for closing time, where he’ll need to work some magic to get the Knicks to the Eastern Conference Finals.

No Embiid, and this series is essentially a wrap. Because it’s just minutes after Philly’s Game 7 win in Boston, I don’t want to gamble on the total or spread, as injuries will mess that bet up.

In the end, New York is healthier and playing at a higher clip, so I’ll take them to advance.
