The second major of the year is upon us, with the PGA Championship teeing off from Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. Rory McIlroy won the Masters last month for the first major of the season, and Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion of this tournament. Unsurprisingly, they are the top-two favorites to win this event.

There isn`t a ton of previous course history to draw from, although Justin Rose has fantastic previous form at this course, having won here in the 2010 AT&T National, and he was runner-up when this track hosted the 2018 BMW Championship (won by Keegan Bradley). This will be the first time Aronimink Golf Club will host a men`s major championship since 1962.

I’m starting my card this week with perhaps the hottest golfer on the planet currently, and that’s Matt Fitzpatrick. He has racked up three wins already in 2026, all coming in the last five times teeing it up. Those were the Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage and Zurich Classic. He also had a runner-up at the Players Championship, and a solid top-20 at Augusta National.

For the season, Fitzy is tops in strokes gained: tee-to-green, and second in total strokes gained. What is very fascinating is that six golfers have shorter odds than Fitzpatrick to win, so you’re getting the 2022 U.S Open champion at great value.

I love that Fitzpatrick has +1950 odds to win outright, since that’s a very digestible number for the fourth ranked golfer in the world, and I’m backing him with confidence this week.

PGA Championship 2026 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Brooks Koepka +3900: Brooks Koepka has five major championship titles to his credit, and three of them have come at the PGA, with victories in 2018, 2019 and 2023. He’s quietly put together a pretty solid season, with top-20s in four of his last five stroke play tourneys.
  2. Justin Rose +4300: Justin Rose won at the Farmers Insurance Open earlier in the campaign, and was T-3rd at the Masters. I don’t love that he’s made a golf clubs company change as he approaches a major, but I can’t look past his stellar course history, with the win at the 2010 AT&T National and runner-up in a playoff at the 2018 BMW Championship, both at Aronimink.
  3. Tyrrell Hatton +5500: Tyrrell Hatton has really stepped up his game at the majors recently. The Englishmen has posted four top-20s in the last five major championships, including a T-4th at the 2025 U.S. Open and T-3rd at the Masters last month. He’s had his chances to close out majors and hasn’t gotten over the finish line just yet, but he’s been knocking on the door often.
  4. Chris Gotterup +7400: While he hasn’t been as white hot as he was earlier in the year, Chris Gotterup is coming off a solid top-15 at the Truist and this number is very intriguing. Gotterup won the Sony Open and WM Phoenix Open the first two months of the year, and was third at the Open Championship in 2025.
