Former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel takes on internet personality Bob Menery in one of the strangest combat sports matchups of the year. The fight headlines Brand Risk 14, a celebrity card put together by Kick streamer Adin Ross, and it goes down Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Below you’ll find the prediction market odds, full Brand Risk Promotions fight card, start time, and how to watch.

Manziel vs Menery Odds
This isn’t a fight you’ll find at traditional sportsbooks. The action is all on prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket, where Manziel is the clear favorite.
Kalshi has Manziel at 77% implied probability, which translates to roughly -335 in traditional sportsbook format. He’s moved up 7 points recently, going from around 70% on May 21 to where he sits now. Volume is at $43,357 traded on the winner market.
The more interesting market might be on Polymarket, where bettors are wagering on whether Menery shows up at all. That market sits at 95% yes, 5% no. Dana White famously bet $10,000 (later bumped to $25,000) that Menery would no-show the fight, which kept that market live for weeks.

Who Are Johnny Manziel and Bob Menery?
Johnny Manziel is 33 years old, stands 6’0″, and is best known as the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M. He was the first freshman to ever win the award. The Cleveland Browns drafted him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, but his career lasted just two seasons before off-field issues led to his release in 2016.
After the NFL, Manziel bounced through the CFL, AAF, and the Fan Controlled Football League. He’s been open about battling mental health and substance abuse issues and has been clean for several years. He hasn’t competed athletically since 2022, which is a real factor heading into Saturday.
Bob Menery is 38 years old, stands roughly 5’9″, and is a Boston-born comedian and podcast host. He built his following through viral sports commentary voiceovers on Instagram and TikTok. He used to co-host the Full Send Podcast with the NELK Boys before splitting from the group. His net worth is reportedly in the millions thanks to podcast and brand deals.
Menery and Manziel have a real beef going back to their time together in Fan Controlled Football. Menery co-owns the FCF Zappers, the team Manziel played for in 2021 and 2022. Tensions built between them over those years and finally spilled over publicly online. Neither man has any combat sports experience.
The size gap matters here. Manziel has Menery by about 25 pounds, and Menery has spent the past few weeks force-feeding himself to close the gap. The fight is being contested under MMA rules, though Brand Risk has been vague on specifics.
Brand Risk 14 Fight Card
The card mixes MMA and boxing across 11 bouts. The main card is all MMA, while the prelims are all boxing. Two former NBA players square off in the cage and Anderson Silva’s son makes his pro boxing debut.
Main Card (MMA)
- Johnny Manziel vs Bob Menery (Main Event)
- Ray J vs Supa Hot Fire (Co-Main Event)
- Michael Beasley vs Lance Stephenson
- No Neck Jay vs Shane Chance
- Flyy Soulja vs Jeremy Smith
- Dom The Troll vs Tommy Tough Knuckles
Prelims (Boxing)
- Antonio Williams vs Haskell Rhodes Jr
- Gabe Silva vs Malcolm Peck
- AP The Fighter vs Ethan Stern
- Andrew Garcia vs Deshawn Prather
- Britton Norwood vs Alvin Varmall Jr
The Michael Beasley vs Lance Stephenson fight might draw more genuine combat sports interest than the main event. Two former first-round NBA picks throwing leather in a cage is genuinely strange. Beasley was the No. 2 overall pick in 2008 and Stephenson had a 12-year NBA career.
Ray J vs Supa Hot Fire is the co-main event and it’s exactly as bizarre as it sounds. The R&B singer takes on the YouTube parody rapper in an MMA fight. Both are in their late 30s or early 40s with zero fighting experience.
Manziel vs Menery Start Time & How to Watch
The main card starts at 11 pm ET (8 pm PT) on Saturday, May 23 from UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Manziel vs Menery is the very last fight of the night, with ring walks estimated between 2:30 and 3:30 am ET on Sunday morning.
The fight is completely free to watch. No PPV, no subscription needed. It streams live across multiple platforms:
- Kick (kick.com/adinross)
- YouTube
- Twitch
- X (Twitter)
- TikTok
Menery has predicted upwards of 15 million live viewers, though that number feels optimistic. The card runs head-to-head with Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven at the Pyramids of Giza earlier in the day, so combat sports fans have plenty of options on Saturday.
