This was supposed to be Ferrari’s weekend.

The Ferrari package has generally excelled at circuits that reward cornering speed, mechanical grip, and confidence through slower sections. Monaco checks every box. This is Charles Leclerc’s hometown race. It’s his specialty track. It’s the weekend every Ferrari supporter circles on the calendar and convinces themselves destiny is about to arrive wearing red.

And yet here we are.

The Mercedes driver enters Monaco riding a four-race winning streak, continuing a stretch of dominance that has turned him from promising young talent into the man everyone else is chasing. Ferrari had the narrative. Leclerc had the local knowledge. Antonelli took the pole anyway.

For Daily Fantasy purposes, Monaco is usually less about uncovering hidden gems and more about identifying which bonuses are most likely to fall into your lap. Passing is difficult, track position is king, and teammate battles often matter more than outright finishing position.

From there, we’re stacking Red Bull.

Max Verstappen starts ahead of teammate Isack Hadjar, creating a strong path toward teammate bonus points. At the same time, Hadjar rolls off fifth, giving Red Bull an excellent opportunity to place both cars inside the top ten and secure the constructor bonus. It’s one of those rare situations where multiple scoring paths can work simultaneously. Verstappen beating Hadjar is good. Hadjar running well is also good. Everyone wins.

Liam Lawson provides another attractive teammate angle. He starts five positions ahead of teammate Arvid Lindblad. On most circuits, that’s a manageable gap. Around Monaco, five positions can feel like five city blocks. Unless strategy chaos intervenes or somebody gets overly familiar with an Armco barrier, Lawson is well positioned to bring home another teammate bonus.

The only area where we’re willingly sacrificing upside is Williams. By rostering both Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, we’re effectively punting the teammate bonus between them. That’s a trade we’re comfortable making because of their salaries and starting positions, both of which help unlock the premium pieces elsewhere in the lineup.

When we run everything through the model, the path is fairly straightforward.

Antonelli leads laps from pole.

Antonelli beats Russell.

Verstappen beats Hadjar.

Lawson beats Lindblad.

Red Bull places both cars inside the top ten.

And Monaco does what Monaco has been doing for decades: turning Saturday’s qualifying session into Sunday’s race results with only minor edits along the way.
