The World Cup group stage comes to a close on Saturday, June 27, with the final games in Groups J, K, and L. That means the schedule is built around three pairs of simultaneous kickoffs, with qualification scenarios and knockout-round seeding in play across the board.

The slate opens with Panama vs England and Croatia vs Ghana at 5:00 pm ET. Colombia vs Portugal and Congo DR vs Uzbekistan follow at 7:30 pm ET. Jordan vs Argentina and Algeria vs Austria then close out Friday’s action at 10:00 pm ET.

I ran all six games through our proprietary A.I. prediction model to identify the computer’s preferred bet for each matchup. The table below summarizes those picks alongside the best-available prices, followed by the reasoning behind each wager so readers can evaluate the model’s logic for themselves.

Best World Cup Picks & Predictions (June 27)

MatchupPickBest-Available Odds
Panama vs EnglandEngland Over 2.5 Goals56¢ / -127 (Kalshi)
Croatia vs GhanaCroatia Moneyline55¢ / -122 (Kalshi)
Colombia vs PortugalPortugal Moneyline53¢ / -113 (Kalshi)
Congo DR vs UzbekistanCongo DR Over 1.5 Goals50¢ / +100 (Kalshi)
Jordan vs ArgentinaArgentina Over 2.5 Goals51¢ / -104 (Kalshi)
Algeria vs AustriaAustria Moneyline+200 (theScore)

The model is backing three favorites on the moneyline and three team-total overs on Saturday.

The model had a horrendous 1-5 record on Thursday, which dropped it to 33-27 (+2.18 units on 1-unit wagers) for the tournament as a whole heading into Friday’s six-game slate.

Panama vs England Computer Pick: England Over 2.5 Goals (56¢ at Kalshi)

Kalshi
England Over 2.5 Goals
56%

A.I. Justification: “Backing England on the three-way moneyline still offers limited value, but Kalshi creates a better way to express the same mismatch. The original Over 2.5 Goals was priced at -225, while England Over 2.5 team goals is available at 56¢, roughly -127. England enters with a +2 goal difference, four goals through two matches and 39 total shots, while Panama has generated no goals.

If the handicap is that England can overwhelm Panama on its own, this team-total angle is a cleaner +EV pivot than paying heavy juice on the full-game total. A 3-0 or 4-0 England result cashes the upgraded Kalshi position.”

Croatia vs Ghana Computer Pick: Croatia to Win (55¢ at Kalshi)

Kalshi
Croatia
55%

A.I. Justification: “The pick remains Croatia, but Kalshi improves the payout. The article previously listed Croatia around -130, while the 55¢ Kalshi price converts to about -122. That is not a massive gap, but it is enough to make the prediction-market price the preferred entry.

Ghana’s win price is longer on Kalshi, but the model still makes Croatia the more reliable side in a match where a controlled possession profile and lower-variance game state matter. I am keeping the Croatia moneyline and using the better Kalshi number.”

Colombia vs Portugal Computer Pick: Portugal to Win (53¢ at Kalshi)

Kalshi
Portugal ML
53%

A.I. Justification: “Portugal’s underlying metrics still offer excellent value, and Kalshi makes the entry slightly better. The sportsbook price was -118, while Portugal at 53¢ converts to roughly -113. They have operated like a high-octane attack, racking up six goals across two matches while allowing just one. Their ability to dictate the pace is unmatched, boasting a tournament-leading 70.5% average ball possession.

Colombia tends to start slow, managing just one first-half goal so far. If Cristiano Ronaldo and Rafael Leao exploit Colombia early, Portugal’s possession metrics will suffocate any potential second-half comeback. Take the Portugal moneyline at the improved Kalshi price.”

Congo DR vs Uzbekistan Computer Pick: Congo Over 1.5 Goals (50¢ at Kalshi)

Kalshi
DRC Over 1.5 Goals
53%

A.I. Justification: “The model fades historically bad defensive metrics, and Uzbekistan’s backline is glaringly vulnerable. Through two matches, they have conceded a staggering eight goals, resulting in an abysmal -7 goal difference. Instead of laying the moneyline, Kalshi offers a sharper angle: Congo DR Over 1.5 team goals at 50¢, effectively even money.

Congo DR has been defensively sound, allowing only two goals, but the better expected value is attacking Uzbekistan’s inability to defend the final third. Against a side yielding four goals per game, Congo DR needing two goals is a better payout profile than simply asking them to win.”

Jordan vs Argentina Computer Pick: Argentina Over 2.5 Goals (51¢ at Kalshi)

Prediction Markets

Kalshi
Argentina Over 2.5 Goals
51%

A.I. Justification: “Argentina’s -549 moneyline price violates value thresholds, and the full-game Over 2.5 at 62¢ is only a small improvement over the original -169. The stronger Kalshi pivot is Argentina Over 2.5 team goals at 51¢, roughly -104. The South American leaders have recorded five goals while maintaining a flawless defensive record, with Lionel Messi driving the attack.

Jordan’s defense has already yielded five goals, including four in the second half alone. That late-game fatigue is a fatal flaw against an Argentine side that scores heavily after the halftime break. If Argentina gets to three by itself, this Kalshi team-total contract delivers a much better payout than a game-total play.”

Algeria vs Austria Computer Pick: Austria to Win (+200 at theScore)

A.I. Justification: “Group J has settled behind Argentina, leaving Austria and Algeria to battle for the second automatic spot. Bookmaker-aligned models give Austria a commanding 94.5% chance of advancing, compared to Algeria’s 75.1%. Algeria was outplayed 3-0 by Argentina, while Austria rebounded from their own loss with a 3-1 victory over Jordan.

Austria’s squad relies on the veteran savvy of David Alaba and Kevin Danso to anchor the defense. Kalshi lists Austria at 34¢, roughly +194, but the article already had +200 available at TheScore, so there is no reason to downgrade the payout. The model still projects Ralf Rangnick’s tactical setup will out-maneuver Algeria, making Austria the one pick that stays with the sportsbook number.”
