When analyzing the optimal betting angles for this matchup, the starting pitching discrepancy dictates my approach. The pitching gulf provides a clear edge for the home side. Martin Perez has an incredibly solid 3.00 ERA, but his counterpart Matthew Liberatore has fared much worse at 5.56.

My Pick: Braves Moneyline (Yes 60¢ on Kalshi)

I am backing the Braves to win outright. At 60¢ on Kalshi, the implied odds offer superior value to traditional sportsbooks. The Braves boast a 63.8% win rate (37-21) when favored by oddsmakers this season. They’ve also won four of their last six meetings vs St. Louis, and boast six more victories on the campaign.

  • Matthew Liberatore Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-165 on DraftKings): In the MLB player props, I’m going with Cardinals starter Matthew Liberatore to accrue four or more K’s, despite him likely having a tough time shutting down Atlanta. He’s reached that threshold in ten of 16 starts on the season.

Matthew Liberatore vs Martin Perez

PitcherW-LERAWHIP
Matthew Liberatore (STL)3-55.561.58
Martín Perez (ATL)6-43.001.13

The MLB probable pitchers show that Liberatore surrenders excessive contact, allowing opponents to hit .301 while carrying a 1.58 WHIP. Over his last 10 appearances, his ERA sits at an inflated 6.08.

Conversely, Perez neutralizes opposing bats effectively. He limits hitters to a .219 average and maintains a 3.00 ERA in 16 appearances.
