Raul Rosas Jr vs. Raoni Barcelos is the five-round main event. I have analyzed the board to bring you my favorite UFC Vegas 121 main card predictions, picks and odds, plus my best bets and long-shot plays, headlined by Rosas vs Barcelos.

UFC Vegas 121 Main Card Odds

The heavy juice on the Perez vs. Dumont distance prop suggests a grinding affair, with the yes side sitting at -455. Meanwhile, the Hernandez vs. Dumas fight is heavily favored to end early at -1000 on the no.

Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos is the closest fight on the board at -161 and +135, and the distance prop there is nearly a coin flip. Osmanli at -303 is the heaviest moneyline favorite on the card.

Rosas Jr. vs Barcelos Prediction

• Rosas Jr. vs Barcelos Pick: Over 4.5 Rounds (-120 at BetMGM)

I expect a competitive grappling fight that reaches the championship rounds. Rosas has never been finished, while Barcelos has only been finished twice in 27 fights, which gives me a strong durability base for the over.

Rosas showed how difficult he is to keep off the mat against Rob Font, landing 16 takedowns on 18 attempts with 10:05 of control time. That performance also showed the likely shape of this fight, with Rosas winning extended scrambles instead of needing a clean striking finish.

Barcelos brings the experience and grappling skill to make Rosas work for every position. He controlled Payton Talbott for 9:43 while landing eight takedowns on 15 attempts, and he also landed 62 significant strikes at 72.94% in that decision win. As a multi-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Barcelos is more than comfortable grappling for 25 minutes.

I give Rosas the edge because of his age, speed and pressure, but his striking has not been dynamic enough for me to expect him to overwhelm Barcelos the way other prospects have done in the past. My read is a long series of scrambles, positional battles and late-round control rather than an early finish.

UFC Vegas 121 Best Bet: Osmanli vs Akylbek Prediction

• Osmanli vs Akylbek Pick: Ilimbek Akylbek Moneyline (+240 at BetMGM)

Mehemmedeli Osmanli is the more dynamic fighter, and I understand why people want to see him win. My concern is his poor wrestling and the crucial grappling mistakes he makes when exchanges become messy.

Osmanli can be competitive when he scrambles, but his hips are too easy to find for fighters who want to take him down. Enter Akylbek, who will push the pace for all 15 minutes and shoot takedowns all day if you let him. Akylbek combines technical wrestling with a grueling pace and impeccable cardio to make him a high-level chain wrestler. It might not be as exciting as Osmanli’s Karate-style striking, but it could be very effective in this matchup.

Osmanli cannot afford to give Akylbek repeated entries or loose positions along the fence. A single defended shot is not enough if Akylbek can connect the next attempt, switch attacks and turn the exchange into control time. Even if Osmanli defends the first few shots, Akylbek will not stop gunning for his hips.

I expect Akylbek to make this an ugly three-round fight and force Osmanli to defend rather than create. Osmanli has the bigger offensive ceiling and still has the power to end this fight at any moment, but his initial grappling errors are a fatal recipe against an excellent chain wrestler.

Dumont vs Perez Prediction

• Dumont vs Perez Pick: Norma Dumont Moneyline (+125 at BetMGM)

I am buying low on Dumont and selling high on Perez in this matchup. Perez’s grappling is her clearest route, but Dumont is a high-level grappler herself, and I expect her size and strength to matter over three rounds.

Dumont has proved she can win with control or striking. She landed six takedowns on eight attempts and recorded 10:04 of control against Germaine de Randamie, then landed 159 significant strikes against Irene Aldana while defending all five takedown attempts. According to Dumont, the angry version of herself who fought Aldana is back.

Perez is a dangerous pressure grappler, landing six takedowns against both Joselyne Edwards and Macy Chiasson in recent wins. She also landed 60 significant strikes and 10 takedowns against Ashlee Evans-Smith, so I respect her ability to force a physical fight.

The key distinction for me is that Dumont has only been out-grappled when moving up a weight class. At bantamweight, I expect her to defend the first takedown, win the strength exchanges and make Perez pay with cleaner volume on the feet.

UFC Vegas 121 Pick: Hernandez vs Dumas Prediction

• Hernandez vs Dumas Pick: Luis Hernandez Moneyline (-250 at BetMGM)

Hernandez is taking this fight on two days’ notice, which is the obvious concern, but this is a dream debut matchup against Dumas. Hernandez is a lifelong wrestler and the stronger pressure fighter, exactly the type of opponent who can keep Dumas from settling into his preferred rhythm.

Hernandez’s last fight showed both his pressure and his finishing ability. He landed 67 significant strikes at 57.76% accuracy, added a takedown and finished Hugo Guillon by submission in the second round. His technique isn’t clean, but he will be in Dumas’ face for as long as the fight lasts and never stops throwing offense.

Dumas either gets his wrestling working or he is vulnerable to being finished. He was submitted by Jackson McVey in the first round and Donte Johnson in the second, while he managed only one takedown on five attempts against Johnson. Every time he faces pressure, Dumas has crumbled, making Hernandez a nightmare matchup for him.

I expect Hernandez to close distance instantly, force Dumas backward and make the short-notice issue less important with his physicality. If Dumas cannot establish top control early, which seems unlikely, I see Hernandez taking over and dominating to give fans the result they want.

Black vs Amaya Prediction

• Black vs Amaya Pick: Valesca Black by Decision (+100 at BetMGM)

I see Valesca Machado, better known as Tina Black, as the most talented woman from the recent TUF house. Her movement, takedown defense and sharper striking should keep the gritty Melissa Amaya from dictating the fight for long stretches.

Black has a previous loss to another pressure fighter, Piera Rodriguez in 2021, potentially giving Amaya a path to victory. However, the 30-year-old is a completely different fighter in 2026, having won titles in Invicta and Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat along the way to potentially becoming The Ulimate Fighter.

Amaya enters with a perfect 9-0 record, so I am not dismissing her composure or development. She pulled off two incredible upsets in the TUF house to get this opportunity. But Amaya’s game is entirely reliant on pressuring and forcing chaotic exchanges, which Black’s improved footwork and boxing is primed to counter. Black’s accuracy and power will create the more meaningful moments at range.

I do not expect either woman to find a finish in three rounds, especially given how durable each has been throughout their careers. Black’s defensive movement should keep her upright, and I see her winning enough striking exchanges to take a decision. Both will be quality additions to the strawweight division, but Black has the talent to compete in the top 15 immediately.
