The Anaheim Ducks visit the Winnipeg Jets on Friday, Oct. 9, at Canada Life Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET.

Both teams are averaging three goals per game, but their defensive results have been very different. That contrast makes this more interesting than the close moneyline suggests.

Below are my Ducks vs Jets prediction, best prop bets, and current odds/prices, followed by the team stats behind my analysis.

My Ducks vs Jets prediction starts with Winnipeg allowing 2.50 goals per game compared with 3.33 for Anaheim. The Jets also own the better team save percentage, .924 to .875, and a substantial penalty-kill advantage, 90.0% to 81.8%. Those figures support Winnipeg in a home matchup where limiting goals should matter more than raw scoring volume.

The offensive averages are even at 3.00 goals per game, so this is not a simple case of backing the team that scores more. I prefer Winnipeg because its defensive results and penalty killing offer the cleaner edge.

Anaheim is also averaging only 23.67 shots per game, while Winnipeg is producing 28.50. That difference could make it difficult for the Ducks to sustain enough offensive pressure.

Ducks vs Jets Best Prop Bets

Kyle Connor anytime goal

Connor is my preferred Ducks vs Jets goalscorer pick. Through four games, he has five goals, two assists, seven points, 24 shots, and three power-play goals. That combination gives him both finishing production and sufficient shot volume to support an anytime-goal look. His power-play role adds another path to a goal if Anaheim takes penalties.

Leo Carlsson Over 0.5 assists

  • Pick: Leo Carlsson Over 0.5 assists (+120 at BetMGM)

Carlsson is my preferred Ducks vs Jets assist prop. Through three games, he has one goal, six assists, seven points, and five power-play assists. Those numbers point to a playmaker whose value comes from creating chances, even if Anaheim is the underdog.

Ducks vs Jets Odds

The Ducks vs Jets odds make Winnipeg a slight favorite on Kalshi:

A moneyline is simply a bet on which team will win the game, including overtime and, where applicable, a shootout. At a Kalshi shootout, the cents price represents the market-implied probability before considering fees and other trading costs. The listed American odds provide a familiar comparison for bettors.

Anaheim readers can review the California prediction markets guide for available platforms. The posted prices make Winnipeg a modest favorite rather than an overwhelming one. That is consistent with my Jets moneyline position, while the near-even total market signals uncertainty about the scoring environment.

Ducks vs Jets Team Stats

These early-season Ducks vs Jets stats cover three Anaheim games and four Winnipeg games.

Faceoff win percentage43.0%45.8%
Corsi For percentage46.6%44.6%
Fenwick For percentage45.3%46.3%

The table shows why I am not relying on offense alone. Both teams score 3.00 goals per game, and Anaheim actually has the better Corsi For percentage. Winnipeg’s edge comes from goals prevention, shot generation, faceoffs, special teams, and save percentage. Winnipeg is allowing more shots, though, so its stronger save percentage has done important work in this small sample.
