NHL Prediction #1: Calgary Flames at Vegas Golden Knights

  • Golden Knights to win (74¢ on Kalshi)

Vegas Golden Knights to win
74%

My Flames vs Golden Knights prediction is on Vegas at home. The Golden Knights are 6-2-0 through eight games with 29 goals scored and 20 allowed. They’re generating 30.8 shots per game and allowing just 25.0, while their power play is converting at 23.3%.

Calgary is 1-5-0 with 12 goals for and 29 against through six games. The Flames picked up their first win (4-2 over Anaheim) in their last outing, but the overall defensive numbers remain poor at 4.83 goals against per game. Vegas has outscored opponents by 9 goals through eight games while Calgary has been outscored by 17 in six. At 74 cents, the Golden Knights are heavily favored at T-Mobile Arena.

NHL Prediction #2: Winnipeg Jets at Chicago Blackhawks

  • Jets to win (57¢ on Kalshi)

Winnipeg Jets
57%

The Jets vs Blackhawks prediction offers the best value of the three picks. Winnipeg is 4-1-1 through six games with an outstanding special teams profile: 31.3% power play (5-for-16) and 92.3% penalty kill (12-for-13). The Jets have allowed just one power-play goal all season.

Chicago is 2-5-0 and allowing 29.9 shots and 4.14 goals per game through seven contests. The Blackhawks generate just 20.9 shots per game, and their penalty kill is at 75.0%. Winnipeg’s power play should find openings against that unit. The Jets won 5-2 over Minnesota in their last game, while Chicago beat Pittsburgh 5-3. At 57 cents, Winnipeg is the road favorite but priced closer to a coin flip than the stats suggest.

NHL Prediction #3: Vancouver Canucks at Florida Panthers

  • Panthers to win (73¢ on Kalshi)

Florida Panthers
73%

My Canucks vs Panthers prediction is on Florida at home. The Panthers are 3-2-2 through seven games and limit opponents to 25.0 shots per game. Their power play has been busy (7-for-38, 18.4%) and they beat Columbus 7-3 in their last outing.

Vancouver arrives on a five-game losing streak (2-6-0) and has allowed 38 goals in eight games. The Canucks’ penalty kill is the weakest unit on this NHL picks today card at 57.1% (16-for-28), having allowed 12 power-play goals through eight games. Vancouver is also allowing 31.6 shots per game. Florida’s shot suppression and home ice should be enough to handle a Canucks team that can’t keep the puck out of its own net. At 73 cents, the Panthers are priced similarly to Vegas but face a more vulnerable opponent on special teams.
