  • The Patriots enter an AFC East tilt as 7-point home favorites against a Jets squad dealing with key injuries
  • New England is 3-2 while New York is 2-3 in a crucial game for both squads

The AFC East spotlight shifts to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough as the New York Jets (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS, 2-3 O/U) hit the road to clash with the rival New England Patriots (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U). This duel is scheduled for a 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT kickoff on Sunday on CBS.

The Patriots enter riding a two-game win streak behind Drake Maye’s improved play. The Jets face escalating urgency, carrying a minus-three point differential and a modest 13.1% postseason probability where dropping to 2-4 would severely compromise their playoff hopes.

Breece Hall is set to miss his third straight contest with a quad injury for NYJ. Keep reading as I analyze this matchup and offer up my favorite picks.

Jets vs Patriots Predictions & Best Bets

ATS Pick: New England Patriots -6.5 (-117 / 54% at Novig)

Over their last 18 games following a victory, New England boasts an impressive 83.3% win rate (15-3). They are also a perfect 6-0 in their last six home games against teams with losing records, supported by Mike Vrabel’s defense allowing just 18.8 points per game and holding opponents to 94 total points through five weeks.

On the other side, New York has historically crumbled when stepping up in class. The Jets have dropped 15 consecutive road games against opponents with a winning record and arrive with a minus-three net point differential (93 points scored, 96 points allowed). Given New England’s superior red zone efficiency – converting 57.1% of trips into touchdowns compared to New York’s 46.2% – and the loss of Breece Hall from the Jets’ offense, laying the points with the Patriots is my primary play.

Anytime Touchdown Picks:

  • Braelon Allen (+137 / 42¢ at Kalshi)
  • Rhamondre Stevenson (-144 / 59¢ at Kalshi)

I am also attacking the prop market with two anytime touchdown bets using Kalshi pricing. With Hall sidelined, Braelon Allen assumes undisputed bell-cow duties. You can grab a “Yes” contract on an Allen touchdown for just 42¢. Allen proved his mettle in Week 5 against Cleveland’s elite front, punishing defenders for 116 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, giving him two rushing scores on the year and total control of goal-line volume.

I am also backing Rhamondre Stevenson against a beatable defensive front, with his “Yes” touchdown contract trading at 59¢. Stevenson remains New England’s primary red zone hammer, having found the end zone in consecutive contests against Buffalo and Las Vegas while logging 57 carries and 15 receptions this season.

The oddsmakers established New England as a heavy home favorite. The Pats have a 74.8% chance of winning outright, leaving the Jets with a 25.2% implied probability of securing the road upset.

If you are looking at the moneyline, a $10 wager on New England yields a $12.80 total payout. Conversely, placing that same $10 bet on the underdog Jets returns a $38.00 total payout.

Looking at NFL odds, the lines have shifted since opening. The spread originally opened with New England laying 9.5 points, but early action pushed that number down to 7. The opening total of 42.5 also ticked upward, settling at the current 43.5 line.

Jets vs Patriots Public-Betting Splits

In the NFL public betting splits, the betting handle and ticket counts are highly aligned. The Patriots command a decisive 75.1% of the total spread handle and 73.5% of the total betting tickets.

Moneyline action is even more lopsided, with a massive 94.3% of the money and 97.1% of the tickets riding on New England to win outright.

The Over has secured 70.3% of the total money wagered and 60.0% of the wagers.

The injury report is massive, where Breece Hall’s absence will be strongly felt . Missing both Hall and left guard Dylan Parham severely hampers New York’s ability to establish the run against a stout defensive front.

However, New York can exploit a decimated Patriots secondary. With Carlton Davis III and Karon Prunty ruled out, third-string cornerback Kindle Vildor assumes a starting role. Expect the Jets to scheme Garrett Wilson heavily into Vildor’s coverage.
