Updated Super Bowl Odds After Week 7 – Biggest Risers Include Steelers, Giants
By Sascha Paruk in NFL News

Week 7 is officially in the books. Two unbeaten teams fell (Kansas City, San Francisco), leaving only 6-0 Minnesota among the ranks of the unblemished. One winless team got a W (Miami), leaving only the 0-6 Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL basement.
Inevitably, the vast majority of NFL teams saw at least a modicum of movement in their Super Bowl odds. The table below sets out the current odds alongside the odds at this time last week. Under the table, I have set out the three biggest risers and fallers in the Super Bowl futures.

Three Biggest Super Bowl Odds Risers
1. Pittsburgh Steelers (+12000 to +6500)
- Odds Movement: Pittsburgh cut its Super Bowl odds nearly in half, surging from +12000 to +6500 for a massive +5500 improvement – the single largest positive shift on the entire board.
- Why They Rose: The Steelers traveled to Saint-Denis, France, and ground out a gritty 16–10 international victory over the New Orleans Saints. By improving their record and reinforcing their defensive identity – allowing just 10 points and forcing multiple turnovers – Pittsburgh consolidated its position in the competitive AFC playoff race. The market responded strongly to Pittsburgh’s ability to win low-scoring, defensive slugfests away from home, sparking significant buy-in on their championship futures.
2. New York Giants (+12500 to +8000)
- Odds Movement: The Giants saw their championship price shorten dramatically from +12500 to +8000, representing a +4500 leap in implied probability.
- Why They Rose: New York pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the weekend, traveling into Houston and stunning the Texans in a 27–21 overtime thriller as 9.5-point underdogs. Generating explosive late-game chunk plays and showing tremendous resilience in hostile road territory proved the Giants can stand toe-to-toe with AFC playoff contenders, prompting oddsmakers to drastically slash their triple-digit longshot price.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (+2100 to +1600)
- Odds Movement: Cincinnati tightened its odds from +2100 into +1600 (+500 improvement), pushing directly into tier-two championship contention.
- Why They Rose: Joe Burrow and the Bengals delivered an emphatic statement on the road, dismantling their bitter divisional rival Baltimore 35–13 at M&T Bank Stadium. Torching the Ravens for 35 points completely reshaped the AFC North landscape, establishing Cincinnati as a top-flight Super Bowl threat in the conference. Though it must be noted that Lamar Jackson did not play for Baltimore; the improved-but-still questionable Cincinnati defense only had to deal with Tyler Huntley.
Three Biggest Super Bowl Odds Fallers
1. Arizona Cardinals (+40000 to +80000)
- Odds Movement: Arizona suffered the steepest collapse on the board, watching their Super Bowl odds double from +40000 out to +80000 (-40000 movement).
- Why They Fell: The Cardinals were thoroughly outclassed at home in a 30–16 loss to the Denver Broncos. Falling flat at State Farm Stadium, failing to generate sustained offensive rhythm, and exhibiting major breakdowns against Denver’s passing attack convinced oddsmakers and bettors alike that Arizona’s season is rapidly slipping away, virtually wiping out any lingering postseason viability in the stacked NFC West.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (+20000 to +30000)
- Odds Movement: Philadelphia’s futures tumbled from +20000 to +30000 (-10000 movement), sliding deeper into longshot obscurity.
- Why They Fell: The Eagles were embarrassed at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday Night Football, getting blown out 38–21 by the rival Dallas Cowboys. Beset by key injuries to Jalen Huts, DeVonta Smith, and Dontayvion Wicks, and struggling for answers under center, Philadelphia dropped to 2–5 straight up (and 1–6 ATS). The lopsided home defeat exposed severe defensive liabilities and essentially took them out of the NFC East race, where the surprising Giants now sit 2.5 games ahead.
3. New York Jets (+50000 to +80000)
- Odds Movement: The Jets saw their odds widen considerably from +50000 out to +80000 (-30000 movement).
- Why They Fell: New York dropped a heartbreaker at home to the Miami Dolphins, 28–25, at MetLife Stadium. Despite keeping the game close, the loss marked another squandered opportunity against a divisional opponent, highlighting the team’s ongoing fourth-quarter execution failures and prompting books to push the Jets down to the bottom tier of the Super Bowl market.
