Canada’s Malott Faces Buckley in UFC Fight Night Edmonton Headliner

The latest in a long lineage of Canadian UFC stars that includes Georges St-Pierre and Rory MacDonald, Ontario’s Mike Malott has consistently proven that he belongs in the upper echelon of the 170-pound ranks with an impressive record of 8-1 inside the Octagon that is anchored by recent statement victories over Gilbert Burns and Kevin Holland.

Standing across from Malott tonight will be the always dangerous Joaquin Buckley. The viral knockout artist is coming off back-to-back losses, but his impressive resume still includes finishes of former elite welterweights like Colby Covington and Stephen Thompson. At 32, Buckley is still hungry and motivated to earn a title shot and he’ll get a good chance to inch closer toward that with a win over Malott.

In the co-main event, it’s a battle of top-10 women’s flyweights as Ontario’s Jasmine Jasudavicius takes on Erin Blanchfield. Other notable Canadian standouts on the card include Kyle Nelson, Marc-Andre Barriault, and Louis Jourdain. Heavyweight fan favourite Tanner Boser will also represent Edmonton, by way of Bonnyville, Alberta, as he faces Brazil’s Jhonata Diniz on the prelims headliner.

Bet on Buckley vs Malott With These Alberta Sports Betting Apps

Whether you’re looking to bet on a straight up winner or looking for odds on a particular method of victory, there are a number of legal sports betting apps available for download in Alberta.

In my opinion, theScore Bet Alberta is a fantastic option to make bets on UFC Edmonton as well as other upcoming UFC events. Their easy-to-use betting app combined with their built-in sports media platform make it super easy to follow along with the latest news so you’re fully in the know when fight night rolls around.

Other options that I personally like also include BetMGM Alberta and DraftKings Alberta. BetMGM has a rich history with MMA and boxing betting so it’s no surprise that they’re a top option when it comes to UFC betting. The same applies to DraftKings as they also have deep markets when it comes to bet on Octagon action.
