How to Bet Paul vs Woodley

The are several ways to place a wager on boxing. The simplest method is a moneyline play on the outcome. Bettors can also opt to wager on a draw as the fight’s outcome.

Among the prop bets being offered on this fight are an over/under on the total rounds, will the fight go the distance, what will the winning method be and betting on the exact round that the fight will end.

Here’s the rub with these Paul bouts – any time Paul steps into the ring, it’s money in the bank for both fighters. Paul is playing the role of pro wrestling heel inside a boxing ring. The public is paying to see someone turn the lights out on the bombastic, arrogant YouTuber. But once a fighter does that, the novelty of these bouts disappears.

It’s in the best interests of everyone in the combat sports arena for Paul to continue to win. That’s why it’s not in his best interests to fight a legit boxer.

Add all of these factors together and the best value on this fight is Paul to win by knockout at -155.

What Does Moneyline Mean?

In this fight, Woodley is the +155 underdog on the moneyline. So when you’re reading the odds, $100 on Woodley and he wins the fight, they would realize a $155 profit.

Paul is the -190 favorite. In this instance, a bettor would need to wager $190 on Paul in order to gain a +100 profit from the play.

There are promotional offers on this fight that bettors can take advantage of in order to enhance their opportunities to win a wager on the Paul-Woodley fight. For instance, Barstool Sportsbook is offering new users who sign-up and make their first deposit a $1,000 risk-free bet.

This sign-up bonus enables new players to Barstool to wager $1,000 on either Paul at -190 or Woodley at +155. If bettors pick the wrong fighter and lose out on their wager, they will be returned $1,000 in the form of bet credits.

FanDuel is offering newcomers who join up at their site the chance to bet $5 on Paul at odds of +3000. That means if the favorite wins the fight, these bettors would receive a $150 stipend.

BetMGM is currently providing all new players a $1,000 risk-free first bet. While it’s not a Paul-Woodley specific promo, it does provide bettors the chance to wager $1,000 risk-free on the fight.

Along those same lines, Caesars Sportsbook is providing new accounts with a $5,000 risk-free bet. Again, not a Paul-Woodley specific promo, but one that offers a healthy stipend to make a play on the bout without risk of losing the money.

Should Bettors Believe In Paul as a Fighter?

Thus far Paul is 3-0 as a pro fighter with three knockouts. None of his three pro bouts have made it to the second-round bell. In his pro debut, he knocked out fellow YouTuber AnEnsonGib at 2:18 of the opening round.

Paul knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson at 1:24 of the second round in his second fight on the undercard of the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr main event. He delivered his third KO against retired MMA fighter Ben Askren at the 1:59 mark of Round 1.

Three bouts, three quick knockouts. On paper, it’s impressive. In reality, perhaps not. Paul hasn’t fought a boxer yet during his pro boxing career. Askren was the closest to it but he seemed more interested in the payday than he was in trading punches in the ring.

Woodley and Paul got into a pre-fight altercation at the Askren bout. That was the genesis that led to this fight. Woodley has the best combat sport credentials of any Paul opponent. His record in the octagon is 19-7 with seven knockouts. But his background pre-MMA was in wrestling.
