The world was fixating on the sweet science community over the weekend but, great fights continue to roll on into mid-week.

This fight is one that was rescheduled from September after MTK Global revealed in a press release that Jazza Dickens and his trainer tested positive for COVID 19.

Jazza Dicken’s Golden Contract Path

Dickens has been seemingly revitalized by this Golden Contract tournament and now has a pair of European belts (IBF as well as WBO) as he plowed through his side of the bracket.

Jazza Dickens looks to maintain his place on the throne and ward off the oncoming challenge of the emboldened Ryan Walsh.

Dickens punched his ticket to the tournament finals with a pair of decision wins over Carlos Ramos and Leigh Wood. He rides a seven-fight win streak heading into this contest and hasn’t been defeated since May 2017.

This is one of those high-stakes bouts between two top-notch European fighters where the winner can vault themselves towards international notoriety in 2021.

Ryan Walsh’s Road to the Golden Contract Finals

Walsh is a proven pugilist who is the longest-reigning British champ and is within elite company as part of the Lonsdale belt lineage. He has won five of his last six contests with the outlier bout being a draw.

On his side of the tourney bracket, Ryan Walsh put away Hairon Socarras in the ninth round by stoppage and defeated Tyrone McCullagh via judges’ decision.

These 126 pounders are evenly matched in a number of regards, and that parity is reflected in the line for this fight.

I theorize the southpaw angles and craftiness of Dickens will be something that will be a notable part of the fight’s opening half. Eventually, Ryan Walsh will start to process more and more information on Jazza Dickens with each subsequent frame though.

I foresee both men having their moments, multiple sways in momentum, and both men needing to really pack a lunch for this one.

I mentioned the midpoint of this bout earlier. I think from those middle frames to the end of the bout, you’ll see less competitiveness and a more defined ring general.

The sub-fifty percent knockout rates of both men leads me to believe that the action won’t end inside the distance.

I think Walsh ultimately has the more nuanced game overall, and I think he can sustain his effort over the long haul just a bit better.

There’s a prop bet for Walsh to win via decision that sits at +200 and I think there’s great value in going with that bet.

I see Ryan Walsh getting the nod on points when Dickens vs Walsh goes down in the Golden Contract tournament finals.

Pick: Ryan Walsh (-105)
