Paul has recently said that he might KO Andrew Tate’s ass recently. But the two have been bantering about for a bit now. Tate initially called out Paul for a fight circa 2021 when ‘The Problem Child’ was actively calling to Conor McGregor.

Paul has only really responded in recent times with Tate’s surge in notoriety on social media in 2022. Recently Paul said that he gave his blessing for brother Logan Paul to fight Tate. But that if Logan could not get it done, Jake Paul would then go at it with the controversial internet provocateur.

Paul’s Betting Outlook vs Tate

While Jake Paul has been trying to get out there this year and keep his momentum going, hurdles have gotten in the way. ‘The Problem Child’ had booked fights against Tommy Fury and replacement opponent Hasim Rahman Jr with both falling out in his attempt to fight at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

Paul is currently 5-0 with four knockouts and is reporting that he has his next fight lined up for October.

Some combat sports fans online have theorized that Paul’s opponent for the Fall could be Tate. He has a level of public profile and combat sports experience that Paul seems to be looking for in his next opponent.

Tate’s Betting Outlook vs Paul

Tate has been getting banned across several social media platforms as of late. He published a “final message” via Vimeo following his exodus from Tik Tok, Instagram, etc. This video message of Tate’s was shared by Paul with the YouTuber/ Disney star indicating that while he did not agree with Tate’s views, he believes in free speech.

In terms of fighting pedigree, Tate has a bit of mixed martial arts experience and is also a former ISKA titleholder in two different weight categories. He would easily be Paul’s most experienced opponent within a purely stand-up-based form of fighting.

The former Big Brother contestant versus former Disney star would truly be a war for the ages.

Though he has the deeper resume, Tate’s experience is more localized to kickboxing than straight Queensberry Rules fighting. I would slightly favor Paul with that contextual detail. Also with Tate having a layoff from competition prompted by an eye injury he sustained.

Pick: Andrew Tate (EVEN)

Will Jake Paul fight Andrew Tate in 2022 Odds

Outcome Odds
No -900
Yes +500

This potential prizefight representing even money makes a degree of sense. This despite Paul’s resume depth compared to Tate’s. The only reason that parity exists is recency bias, the casual fans of combat sports being suckers for recent KOs, and Tate’s inactivity from combat sports juxtaposed with Paul’s regularity fighting.

As much as it’s fun to get lost in all of this for some, I do not foresee this fight coming about within 2022. I feel like if Tate was targeting a return to competition, there would be more of a mapped-out return to training. A calculated camp that could lead to 2023 being a more reasonable target. I don’t think it’s out of the question that this fight happens someday, but feel like next year would be more likely.

Pick: No (-900)
