September saw Ontario online casinos set a monthly revenue record for the third consecutive month.
In September, Ontario iGaming recorded CA$340.8 million in revenue, besting the previous record that was just set in August, at $336.3 million. Month-to-month was a 1.2% increase.
Compared to a year ago, September revenue was up 22.7% from the $277.8 million the province collected in September 2025.
Fifth Record-Setting Month Since December
Before December 2025, Ontario had never surpassed $305 million in iGaming revenue for a given month.
Now, Ontario has had at least $310 million in revenue in seven consecutive months and nine of the last 10 months, with February being the only exception.
The new monthly revenue record has now been set in three straight months and five times since December.
- December 2025: $320.7 million
- May 2026: $326.4 million
- July 2026: $330.4 million
- August 2026: $336.3 million
- September 2026: $340.8 million
Revenue Remains Up Over 28% in 2026
The online casinos in Canada continue to see big gains in 2026 when it comes to year-over-year revenue growth.
Following September’s results, Ontario online casinos now sit at $2.87 billion in revenue for 2026. The province will surpass $3 billion once the October results come in at the end of this month.
Compared to the first nine months of 2025, Ontario revenue is up 28.6% for the year.
Last year, the province finished with $3.15 billion in iGaming revenue. Should this growth rate hold up, the province will finish with about $4.05 billion in revenue.
That seems to be a bit unlikely, as Ontario would need to average $377 million over the last three months to finish at $4 billion for the year.
Should the province bring in $340 million a month over the last quarter, Ontario would finish at about $3.9 billion for the year.
Online Casino Wagers On Pace for Over $100 Billion In 2026
Online casino wagers took a step back in September to $8.50 billion. This put the yearly online casino wagers for the year in the province at $75.06 billion.
Prior to December, Ontario had never surpassed $8 billion in monthly iGaming wagers in a given month. Now it has reached more than $8 billion in wagers in seven consecutive months and in eight of the nine months in 2026.
- January: $8.21 billion
- February: $7.65 billion
- March: $8.33 billion
- April: $8.14 billion
- May: $8.37 billion
- June: $8.30 billion
- July: $8.78 billion
- August: $8.78 billion
- September: $8.50 billion
Through nine months of 2025, online casino wagers sat at $60.40 billion. Thus far, 2026 wagers are up 24.3%.
Right now, the province is averaging $8.34 billion in wagers for month for iGaming. Even if that average held up, it would push Ontario over $100 billion in iGaming wagers for all of 2026.
That number should be surpassed, as the entire third quarter was well ahead of $8.34 billion in wagers.
