US Online Casino Revenue Tops $1 Billion Once Again In July

After coming up short of $1 billion in revenue in June, US online casino revenue got back over that mark in July with just under $1.02 billion for the month.

Last month, the seven legal iGaming state providers finished with $1.015.7 billion, to be exact. That was up 2% compared to June’s $996.5 million.

When it comes to year-over-year comparison US online casino revenue July was up 15.7% compared to $877.9 million last July.

July’s US Online Casino Revenue Breakdown

All seven legal iGaming states saw at least a 12% increase in revenue year-over-year for July.

Here’s a look at how each of the seven states performed in July compared to a year ago. It should be noted that some states individually report their adjusted gross revenue (AGR), which removes promotional spend from their wins. This table reflects the gross gaming revenue, which is the amount produced prior to promo spend being removed.

Three Takeaways from July’s iGaming Revenue

July was a return to normal for US iGaming in 2026. Monthly revenue has been steadily over $1 billion throughout most of the year.

Here’s three newsworthy takeaways from what July revenue brought in.

US Tops $7 Billion in 2026 iGaming Revenue

In five of the seven months for 2026, the US online casinos have produced over $1 billion in revenue. Last December marked the first time the US passed that milestone in a given month.

Through seven months, here’s how the country has done with iGaming revenue.

• January: $1.00 billion
• February: $946.2 million
• March: $1.06 billion
• April: $1.00 billion
• May: $1.03 billion
• June: $996.5 million
• July: $1.02 billion

The United States sits at $7.05 billion in iGaming revenue for the year. The country is well on its way to a $12 billion year for iGaming revenue. The lowest revenue months each year are in the rearview with February and June typically producing the lowest numbers.

Upcoming fall and winter months tend to be among the strongest revenue months each year, so maintaining the $1 billion average shouldn’t be too difficult.

New Jersey, Delaware set State Records

Two of the seven iGaming states set their own monthly revenue records in July.

New Jersey was the biggest market to do so, as it recorded $276.9 million last month, narrowly edging the previous mark that was set in May of $276.3 million.

NJ has now surpassed $270 million in monthly revenue in four of the last five months.

The other state to have a new monthly record was Delaware. It’s July total of $16.23 million topped the previous record by just under $36,000. The previous best was March, when Delaware recorded $16.20 million in revenue.

Pennsylvania Widens Gap from Michigan

Last month, it looked like Michigan was right on the heels of Pennsylvania for the monthly revenue lead among the legal iGaming states.

Michigan finished less than $2 million behind Pennsylvania, the closest the two have been in revenue yet.

But, PA got back more control in July, besting Michigan by over $9 million in revenue.

When it comes to gross iGaming revenue, Pennsylvania has been the bar setter, with Michigan well ahead of New Jersey for the second spot.

But, Michigan online casino revenue has been closing the gap at times in 2026. Through seven months, Pennsylvania is still well ahead of Michigan when it comes to yearly revenue.

The Keystone state has piled up $2.20 billion in revenue through seven months of 2026. The Great Lakes State sits at $2.11 billion. That’s a $90 million gap for the year, a lead Pennsylvania certainly won’t relinquish this year.
